Chapter 8.1: Mirrors and Missteps

Aria’s POV

The soft light from the curtains peeked into the room, stirring me before I was ready. I blinked up at the ceiling of my crib, my thumb already halfway to my mouth. But something in me felt… restless.

Daddy wasn’t in the room. I heard the distant sound of the shower.

Grinning to myself, I slowly pushed the blanket aside and rose to my knees. Mischief bubbled in my chest like soda in a sippy cup. Daddy thought I couldn’t get out on my own anymore. But I could.

With clumsy determination, I swung one leg over the side rail, then the other, thudding softly onto the floor. I giggled. “I’m a sneaky baby,” I whispered, paci bobbing in my mouth.

I crawled across the nursery, the rustle of my thick diaper echoing with every move. My padded butt wobbled behind me like a toddler on a mission. I knew the baby monitor was still on, but Daddy wouldn’t be watching right now. And he wouldn’t expect me to get up this early.

The drawers were tall, but not too tall for someone with a determined streak. I tugged one open, rummaging past folded blankies and mittens. In the third drawer—jackpot.

My phone.

It looked out of place here. Grown-up. Heavy. Like it didn’t belong in this soft, pastel world of mine. I held it in both hands, fascinated by its weight, by how cold it felt against my palms. I giggled again and unlocked it.

Instagram blinked open, and there she was—me. Or at least, the version of me that used to exist. Tight clothes, dark lipstick, filters that made my eyes sparkle and skin glow. I looked… confident. Sexy. Powerful.

I suckled the paci a little faster, that old version of me feeling like someone else’s story. But still mine. Kind of. Curious, I scrolled further, landing on my feed. Photos of friends—sunbathing in bikinis, sipping margaritas, posing with boys, dancing. Carefree. In control.

I turned, crawling slowly toward the full-length mirror. When I stood and faced it, I blinked. There I was.

My hair was in ponytails. My cheeks were flushed pink. My paci bobbed gently between my lips. My onesie hugged my chest, and between my legs—my diaper. Bulging now. I used it. Fully. The smell was faint but unmistakable.

My eyes dropped, shame prickling. “Tinkle and… potty,” I whispered. And then I winced. Why did I just say that? I was a grown woman—why couldn’t I call it pee and poop like any adult?

But instead, I stood here, in a diaper full of my mess, while my friends flaunted their curves under golden sunlight.

My throat burned. I hated this feeling. I hated how small I suddenly felt. Jealousy tangled with embarrassment and something heavier—regret, maybe. I didn’t even notice the bathroom door open.

“Aria?” Kian’s voice came from the doorway, urgent. I jumped and spun, phone still clutched in hand. “I—I was just—”

His eyes scanned me—standing at the mirror, diaper swollen, cheeks red. You’re out of the crib? With your phone? What’s going on, baby?”

“Don’t call me that!” I snapped before I could stop myself. “I’m not a baby, okay? I’m not! You can’t just… make me one whenever you feel like it!” Kian’s face stilled. Calm, but wounded. “Aria. Breathe. I just want to understand—”

“No!” I barked, louder this time. “You don’t get to ask! It’s my life, my body, my choices! You can’t keep treating me like I’m too weak to handle anything!”

There was a long pause. His eyes dimmed slightly, and then he said quietly, “If that’s really how you feel… say the word.”

I opened my mouth.

And right then, an unmistakable sound escaped me. A loud fart, followed by more warmth spreading in my diaper. My mouth clamped shut.

I wanted to cry.

Kian’s eyes softened for a moment—just a flash—but then he straightened. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe you can handle it yourself.”

He stepped back. “If you need anything, you know where I am.”

And then he left. Just like that.

I stood frozen, heart hammering. The silence felt too big now. I sank slowly to the floor, shame curling in my gut tighter than the mess in my diaper.

Downstairs, I heard clinks of plates. He was making breakfast. Like nothing happened.

I needed him.

I needed him.

Slowly, shakily, I dropped to all fours again. My bottom squished uncomfortably with every movement, but I didn’t care. I crawled out of the nursery, down the stairs, until I saw him.

He stood at the counter, slicing fruit.

I knelt behind him. He didn’t speak.

My fingers tugged at the hem of his shirt. Still no reaction.

Then, gently, I whispered, “Daddy… couldn’t change…”

He turned halfway. His eyes were guarded. “You didn’t change your diaper?”

I shook my head, cheeks burning. “I… I can’t. Daddy do.”

He sighed. And then, quietly, “Come here.” But I didn’t move. I stayed, waiting.

So, he bent, picked me up, my legs wrapping instinctively around his waist. The mess squished again, humiliating and grounding all at once.

No cooing. No kisses. Just care.

He laid me on the changing table and wiped me slowly, thoroughly. But his hands didn’t linger with praise. His voice didn’t soothe. It was careful. Professional. It stung.

Afterward, he helped me down without a word.

I followed him back downstairs, crawling again. My eyes stung. He placed a proper breakfast plate in front of me. Eggs. Toast. I didn’t move.

When he looked up, I batted the spoon away. Then again. And again. Finally, he took a deep breath, pushed the plate aside, and brought out the baby bowl. My sippy cup. My bib.

He strapped me into the highchair wordlessly. And fed me. Like yesterday. But this time… he said nothing. Not even a “good girl.” And somehow… that silence hurt more than any scolding ever could.

I swallowed the spoonful of mush slowly, tasting every bland, lukewarm bite more than I ever had before. Not because of the food—but because of him. Daddy didn’t speak. Not a single “open wide” or “just one more bite, sweetheart.”

He didn’t wipe the food that dribbled down my chin with his usual warm chuckle. He didn’t kiss my nose when I pouted. He just… fed me. Like he was on autopilot.

I blinked hard, but the sting in my eyes didn’t go away. My chest ached with the weight of regret. Each quiet spoonful felt like a punishment more real than any spanking or corner time.

I’d wanted to feel in control earlier. Now I just felt lost. I glanced up at him, hoping to catch his eyes. But they stayed fixed on the bowl, not me.

“Daddy…” I whispered, but it came out like a squeak. He paused only for a second before scooping another spoonful. “Open,” he said plainly.

My lip trembled. I didn’t open. He looked at me finally—just a flicker of eye contact—and set the spoon down. “If you’re full, you’re full,” he said. Still calm. Still quiet. But not soft. Not mine.

Chapter 8.2: Mirrors and Missteps

Aria’s POV

He unstrapped me from the highchair and lifted me out with the same cold efficiency as before. My arms instinctively wrapped around his neck, but he didn’t hug back.

He set me on the playmat, among the plushies and blocks, and walked away toward the sink. I stayed frozen there, overwhelmed. I knew he was hurt. I knew I had crossed a line. And now, I was scared I’d broken something I couldn’t fix.

The blocks around me were colorful. Soft. Safe. But everything inside me felt jagged.

I picked up Mr. Bunny and hugged him close, whispering into his floppy ear, “I didn’t mean to be bad…”

I wanted to run to Daddy. To curl up in his lap, to beg for forgiveness. But I didn’t know if I was allowed to anymore. So, I waited. And I hoped. And I let the silence fill the space where his love used to speak.

I stayed in the playpen, hugging Mr. Bunny so tightly it hurt. My thumb hovered near my mouth, but I didn’t suck it. Not when Daddy wasn’t watching. Not when I wasn’t sure if I was still allowed to be his baby.

Minutes passed. Or maybe hours. Everything felt slow, heavy, muffled—like I was underwater.

I looked toward the kitchen. Daddy was rinsing dishes, moving calmly, but his shoulders looked tense. Stiff. Not the relaxed, easy Kian I knew. Not my Daddy.

I tried to crawl toward him once, stopped halfway, and curled into a ball instead. My diaper squished beneath me, a constant reminder of everything I’d said and done this morning.

Why did I yell? Why did I look at those stupid pictures? Why did I ruin it all when I finally felt so safe?

A soft hiccup left my chest, and I buried my face into the mat. My body shook quietly, sobs stifled by the softness of the playpen walls.

Kian’s POV

I heard it. That tiny, heartbreaking sound.

I didn’t look right away—I couldn’t. My fingers gripped the edge of the sink a little tighter. My heart ached, but my mind was still clouded with the sting of her words from earlier.

“I’m not a baby! You can’t control me!”

I had spent every ounce of my energy the past few weeks creating a space where she could surrender without shame. Where she was held. Loved. Protected.

And then, this morning… she tore through that space like it meant nothing.

But even now, as I looked down at the bowl in the sink, I knew that wasn’t the whole truth. Aria hadn’t meant to hurt me.

She was scared. And guilt was already doing more to her than anything I ever could. The second hiccup-cry reached me, and I finally turned.

There she was. My baby girl. Curled up on the mat, her body shaking in silent sobs, clutching that threadbare bunny like it was the only thing tethering her to this world.

And that’s when I let go of his frustration. Because this wasn’t about me. This was about her heart. Her fears. Her shame.

I dried my hands, walked slowly over, and knelt beside the playpen. “Aria…” I said softly.

She didn’t look up. I opened the gate and crawled in beside her.

The moment my arms circled around her, she shattered.

“I’m s-sorry,” she cried into my chest. “I was j-jealous and scared and I said mean things and I—I don’t wanna stop, Daddy. I don’t wanna not be your baby.”

I held her close, rocking her gently. “I know, baby. I know.”

“I looked at them… the girls… and they looked so free. And pretty. And I felt gross. And stupid. And then I yelled because I was scared you’d see me differently.”

My heart clenched. I pulled her even closer, cradling her with one hand stroking her hair. “You are not gross. Or stupid. You are mine. Exactly as you are. Even when you’re scared. Even when you’re messy.”

Aria sniffled, pulling back just enough to look into my eyes. “Do you still want me?”

I smiled gently, brushing a tear from her cheek. “Always.”

“I made stinkies again…” she admitted in a whisper.

“I know,” he said, leaning down to kiss her temple. “We’ll get you changed in a minute. But right now… you just need Daddy to hold you, don’t you?”

She nodded.

I tucked her against his chest, the silence no longer painful, but warm—alive with love and forgiveness.

I cradled her for a while longer, feeling her breathing slow as her sobs gave way to soft hiccups and sleepy sniffles. Her thumb found its way to her mouth at last, a quiet surrender that made something tender settle deep in his chest.

I kissed her forehead and murmured, “Let’s get you cleaned up now, sweetheart.”

She didn’t resist this time.

I carried her gently—carefully balancing her weight against my chest, mindful of the full diaper pressed between them. Once on the changing table, she lay still, watching me with wide, watery eyes as I went through the motions: warm wipes, fresh powder, a snug new diaper. No teasing. No scolding. Just care.

Just love.

After I taped the last side, she reached for his hand.

“I’m still your good girl?” she whispered, barely audible.

He leaned down and kissed her nose. “You never stopped being my good girl.”

Her lower lip quivered again, but this time with relief.“Can I stay with you today? Just… be little?”

I gathered her into my arms, pressing her close.“You can stay just like this for as long as you need. I’ve got you.”

As I carried her back to the playpen, her head rested on my shoulder, her body soft with trust. I knew it wasn’t over—the insecurities, the doubts. But in this moment, she was safe.

And that was enough.

Chapter 9: Trust Tested, Trust Earned

Neutral POV

Kian had been quietly planning this for days—a little test. Not one of Aria’s obedience, but of her emotional growth. He wanted to see if she could handle being left alone, trusted, without spiraling into jealousy or insecurity.

That morning, he got her ready like any other day. He wiped her clean, applied powder, and put her in a fresh diaper. Then came her favorite soft T-shirt and a pair of casual shorts—modest enough to hide what was underneath.

“Daddy’s going out for a bit,” he said gently, adjusting the waistband of her shorts. “I’m leaving you with your toys, your coloring books, and the baby cam’s on. I’ll be watching, okay?”

Aria looked up with sleepy eyes and gave a small nod. “Otay, Daddy.”

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Kian opened it to find Mira—his old college friend, standing with her usual confident smile. She didn’t know anything about Aria’s lifestyle. To her, Aria was just Kian’s wife.

“Hey,” Mira greeted. “Ready to go?” “Yep,” Kian replied, stepping aside so Mira could enter for a moment.

Aria, seated on the couch with a book in hand, looked up and caught sight of Mira. For a brief second, Kian studied her reaction, searching for any trace of jealousy. But none came. Aria gave a soft smile and returned her gaze to her book.

After a few polite words with Mira, Kian quickly walked back to Aria’s side. Once Mira stepped outside to wait in the car, Kian helped Aria out of her shorts, replacing them with a snug onesie over her diaper.

“There we go, baby,” he whispered, snapping the last button beneath her. “So much easier for Daddy to check you now.” Aria giggled softly, patting her belly. Kian kissed her forehead. “I’ll be back soon, sweetheart. Be good.”

With one last look, he left.

At the café, Kian tried to focus on Mira’s enthusiastic storytelling, but his mind kept drifting back home. Every few minutes, he checked his phone, glancing at the baby cam feed. Aria was calmly seated at her little table, coloring.

“She’s okay,” he muttered to himself.

Mira raised an eyebrow. “What?”

“Oh, nothing,” Kian covered quickly. “Just thinking about something at home.”

He kept watching Aria through the feed. She was still peacefully playing. No tantrums. No anxiety. She crawled to the shelf, fetched her sippy cup, and drank some water.

“She’s growing,” he whispered with a trace of awe.

But then he noticed her diaper sagging slightly. The tickle monster had come again. She hadn’t fussed. She hadn’t called for him. Just accepted it and went back to coloring.

His chest ached a little. “She hates sitting in a wet diaper,” he murmured, more to himself. “I really need to go,” he finally told Mira, standing up mid-conversation.

“Oh. Everything okay?” she asked, surprised. “Yeah, just remembered something urgent.”

He thanked her, paid the bill, and all but ran back home.

Then Kian reached home, Aria was still in her playpen, cooing at her toys. The moment she saw him, her face lit up.

“There’s my good girl,” he said, scooping her into his arms, holding her like this, feeling her small body relax into him, reminded him how far they’d come.. “You were amazing today.” He cuddled her tightly, rocking her gently. “I’m so proud of you, sweetheart.”

Aria beamed. “I was a good baby?”“The best.”

She buried her face into his chest, letting out a long breath that seemed to carry days of unspoken longing.

“I didn’t cry when you left,” she mumbled into his shirt. “Did you see?” “I saw,” he whispered, voice thick with emotion. “You didn’t cry. You didn’t panic. You didn’t call for me. You… trusted me.”

Then his voice softened, more serious. “You know, you’ve grown so much. You trust me now. You don’t get scared when I go out. You stayed calm today.” She nodded slowly.

“Maybe it’s time,” Kian said, brushing her hair back. “Time to end this. You’ve done what you needed to do. You can go back to normal life now.”

But Aria’s face changed. Her bottom lip quivered , a single tear escaped her eye.. “I don’t want normal,” she whispered. “Not all the time. Office said I can work from home. I’ll help you during work hours. And after that… can I be your baby again?”

Kian’s eyes softened, pulling her closer. “So you want both?” She nodded. “Half Aria. Half baby. All yours.” He smiled. “Then we’ll make it work. I’ll work from home too.”

They stayed like that for a long moment, the baby monitor light still blinking quietly in the background—a silent witness to their journey. And just like that, a new balance began. Trust, tested and earned.

As Kian carried Aria gently back into the nursery, her arms around his neck felt less like clinging and more like choosing.

He lowered her onto the changing table, unzipping the onesie with quiet care. She lay there, watching him through half-lidded eyes, not saying a word as he wiped her down and powdered her with practiced gentleness. But unlike all the other times, there was no silly babble from her, no sleepy giggles or demands for kisses.

Just quiet.

When he fastened the fresh diaper snugly around her hips, he paused. Their eyes met.

“I missed you,” she whispered. “I missed you too,” he murmured, smoothing a palm over her tummy. “Even if it was just for an hour.”

She nodded, a yawn escaping her lips. “Thought I’d feel jealous. But I didn’t. Just… waited. I knew you’d come back.”

That simple sentence broke something open in him. Guilt. Pride. Relief. He leaned down and kissed her forehead. “That’s the bravest thing you’ve ever said, bunny.”

Her lashes fluttered. “You still want me like this?”

He tucked a soft blanket around her. “Always. Whether you’re crawling to your sippy cup or sending emails in heels—you’re mine.”

A sleepy smile curled on her lips. “And you’re mine, Daddy.”

Kian switched off the nursery lamp, bathing the room in warm night light glow. As he stepped back and watched her curl up in the crib, arms wrapped around her stuffed bunny, he knew it wasn’t just Aria who had grown.

He had too.

And for the first time in this journey of rules, softness, and surrender—they both felt utterly at peace.

Tomorrow will bring something new.

But tonight… This was enough.

Final Chapter – The Life They Chose

Neutral POV

The morning light filtered softly through the blinds as the aroma of scrambled eggs and toast filled the quiet apartment. Aria stood in the kitchen, wobbling gently in her pastel pink baby walker. The tray in front of her was dotted with cut vegetables, which she clumsily pushed into a mixing bowl, tongue poking out between her lips in concentration.

Kian glanced over from the stove, smiling.“You’re doing great, baby. Almost done?”

Aria nodded proudly, pacifier bobbing in her mouth.“Uh-huh!”she mumbled around it.

She liked this part of the day. The hours when she was still his helper—a strange blend of adult and little, still in her thick morning diaper, but allowed to speak freely, contribute. It grounded her. Reminded her she was capable. That she wasn’tjusta baby… even if she was treated like one most of the time.

After breakfast, Kian helped her out of the walker and into her nursery for a change and bath. Aria sighed contentedly as he massaged shampoo into her scalp, her eyes fluttering shut as warm water ran down her back.

“You always melt like butter during bath time,”Kian chuckled softly. She grinned.“That’s ’cause you’re good at it.”He leaned in and whispered, “Only for you.”

Once diapered and dressed in her soft crib-safe romper, Aria crawled to the nursery’s desk for her workday. Her company had long since accepted her request for remote work, never knowing the true reasons. Kian had set up the laptop inside the crib itself, fluffed with pillows and her favorite plushies. He even clipped a small lamp to the crib rail for Zoom lighting.

She glanced at the crib walls around her, soft pastel hues, dangling rattles, shelves full of pacis and wipes, and swallowed hard. It was absurd.Shewas absurd. But she loved it.

Not because of the diapers or pacifiers or being called “Daddy’s baby.” But because of what it meant: that she was safe. Cared for. That someone loved her in all her regressions and contradictions.

Still, the cracks showed sometimes. Like the day she accidentally tilted her camera too far and her coworkers saw the nursery. The messages flooded in. “OMG Aria, you’re pregnant?!” “Wait, you have a whole nursery? Are you adopting?” She stared at the screen in horror, mute with panic.

That day, Kian had found her sobbing under the crib blanket, tiny fists clenched around a plush bunny, tears soaking the mattress. He didn’t ask questions. Just knelt beside her shaking, and whispering,“They don’t know you like I do, They saw a room. I see you.”She had clung to him then, her voice hoarse with shame,“Do I still make sense to you?”He kissed the top of her head,“Always. Especially now”.

She remembered the first time she had an accident during a meeting. The warmth spreading, the unmistakable squish as she shifted, the horror ofknowingit was obvious on her face. And still, when the call ended, Kian came in, calm and gentle.

“Come here, bunny,”he had said, pulling her into his lap.“I-I didn’t mean to,”she whimpered.“I know. I’m proud of you for holding it together.”It was that tenderness, the utter lack of shame, that made it okay. That made her want to keep living like this. Now, it was routine.

After that, Kian quietly adjusted her morning routine, just a few drops of what they’d once agreed on, tucked into her bottle. It wasn’t to shame her. It was to shield her from the helpless spiral she fell into when her body betrayed her. He never mentioned it. He just held her tighter on the days it helped.

She did her work from the crib, sipping juice from her sippy cup, coloring during breaks. Kian worked from the bedroom, always checking the baby monitor. When the clock hit six, she’d crawl to his feet, rub her face against his leg like a kitten, and whisper in her baby voice,“All done…”

And then, it was their time again.

Evenings were full of cuddles, cartoons, bottle feedings in his lap, diaper changes that ended in tickle fights or kisses on her tummy.

Once, as he tucked her into the crib, she had whispered, “Do you ever… wish I was just normal?”Kian had paused, brushing her hair back.“Thisisour normal. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”Aria smiled now, thinking of that moment. Because in this strange little world, where adulthood met innocence, where diapers were a choice and a need, where pacifiers soothed deeper wounds than words ever could, she had finally found her peace. Not in giving up who she was. But in surrendering to who she wanted to be, with him. Forever.

The sun had long dipped below the horizon when Kian closed his laptop with a soft sigh. The baby monitor’s screen glowed beside him, showing Aria curled up in her crib after completing her work, crayons scattered beside her, one hand tucked under her cheek, the other still gripping her favorite plush rabbit.

She hadn’t noticed the time. With a fond smile, he walked into the nursery.“Time’s up, sweetheart,”he said gently. Aria stirred, blinking up at him. Her pacifier slipped from her lips as she reached for him with sleepy arms.“Daddy… ’m done.”“I know, baby. You did so good today.”He lifted her out of the crib and rested her against his chest. “All clean, or does Daddy need to check?” She blushed, burying her face into his neck. That was answer enough.

Minutes later, freshly changed and in a warmer onesie, Aria lay in his lap on the rocking chair. The room smelled faintly of baby powder and lavender. The mobile above the crib spun slowly, casting soft shadows over the walls. Kian held the bottle to her lips. She suckled lazily, her eyes growing heavy with each draw of warm milk.

A soft hum vibrated in her chest.

“Daddy?”she murmured between sips, her voice barely audible.“Yes, little one?”“I don’t wanna grow up again.”His arms tightened around her.“Then don’t,” he whispered against her forehead.“Not with me. Not ever.”

Tears pricked the corners of her eyes. Not sad tears. Not overwhelmed ones either. Just full. Full of peace. Knowing this version of her, this small, vulnerable, precious part, was safe. Treasured.

She didn’t have to be strong all the time. She could be his.

As the bottle emptied and the world quieted, Aria whispered sleepily,“Love you, Daddy.”Kian kissed her temple.“I love you more, my baby girl.”

And in that quiet, padded little nursery, surrounded by soft lights and softer hearts, their story didn’t end.

It simply settled… into forever.

Epilogue: Still His

The sunlight streaming through the bedroom window didn’t feel gentle that morning. It felt sharp, too bright, too exposing.

Aria stood in front of the mirror, trying to adjust the waistband of her trousers without making the diaper bulk beneath them obvious. The soft crinkle it made as she shifted only worsened the anxious tightness in her chest. The diaper wasn’t just beneath her clothes—it was part of her now. There was no getting around it.

Behind her, Kian stepped in holding a small zipped pouch and her water bottle.

“Lunch is packed. Extra supplies in here, two changes, wipes, rash cream, and your lavender-scented spray,” he said, placing the pouch gently beside her bag. “Thanks,” she murmured, eyes still fixed on the reflection. “Do I look… normal?” “You look beautiful,” he said without missing a beat. She smiled weakly. “Not what I asked.”

“You look professional. Put-together. Confident,” Kian reassured, stepping behind her and resting his hands gently on her shoulders. “And underneath all that, you’re still my brave little girl who’s about to do something amazing.” Her throat tightened. She gave a small nod. “I just… I haven’t been in front of a room full of adults in so long. What if they notice? What if I mess up?”

“I’ll be in the parking lot,” Kian said, his tone warm but steady. “The second you need me, I’ll be there. But I know you’ll do great.”

He leaned down and kissed her cheek, then her temple, lingering for a moment.

“Okay,” she whispered. “Let’s do this.”

The office building was the same. Polished tiles, the soft murmur of typing, familiar faces and neutral-toned walls. But Aria felt like an alien in it. Everyone else walked with purpose. She walked with the careful, calculated restraint of someone who didn’t trust their body anymore.

“Aria?” her coworker Priya called out as she passed the break room. “Oh wow! It’s been ages. How are you?”

“I’m good,” Aria said, forcing a smile. “Just… came for the quarterly pitch.”

“Ah yes, the big one. Congrats on being chosen! I heard your work-from-home reports were excellent.”

“Thanks,” Aria replied, her stomach fluttering.

She walked quickly to the meeting room, her padded steps quiet but ever-present in her mind.

Inside the conference room, the projector was already warming up. Aria’s manager smiled at her.

“Glad you could make it in person. Everyone’s been eager to hear this from you.” She nodded and took her place at the front.

As the presentation began, the familiar rhythm returned. Click. Speak. Eye contact. Smile. Click again.

But halfway through the second slide, a warm trickle spilled into her diaper. She froze internally, though her voice kept going on autopilot.

It’s fine. Just keep talking. Smile. They don’t know. You practiced this.

But then came the second wave. Stronger. A sharp cramp gripped her abdomen, and Aria’s mouth went dry. Not now. Please not now.

She tried to shift subtly, repositioning her legs, but it was too late. Her body relaxed in betrayal. The warmth came, slow, heavy, unmistakable.

Oh God… please not in front of everyone…

Her cheeks burned. Still, her lips kept moving.

“We saw a significant uptick in user retention across—”

Another cramp. Her knees almost buckled. She gripped the table’s edge behind her, using it to steady herself. The smell hadn’t reached her yet, but she knew it would. She reached the halfway point of the presentation. A few coworkers glanced at each other, noses twitching. One of the helpers entered the room with a discreet can of room spray, misting it into the air.

Aria’s stomach dropped. It was happening. She forced a smile, cleared her throat. “Apologies—guess someone didn’t like our data!” The room chuckled, distracted.

Keep going. Just a few more slides. Smile. Just smile.

The diaper was now swollen and sagging slightly, the pressure of her own mess weighing her down. She shifted her posture to hide it, but every move sent fresh waves of warmth across her skin. Still, she finished.

The applause was brief. Aria bowed her head politely and hurried to her seat. Her body was screaming to be changed.

She opened her phone beneath the table and texted: “Come now. Please.”

Kian replied instantly: “I’m in the parking. I’ve got you.”

But before she could stand, another cramp hit. Tickle monster again. She froze. The smell intensified. Her boss sniffed and looked toward the door. Then he stood.

“Let’s end here. Great job, Aria,” he said warmly. “Can someone open the windows? And maybe air freshen a bit more? I think something’s… off.” The helper began cleaning immediately.

Aria practically bolted the moment she could, walking carefully, deliberately, through the corridor, down the elevator, and into the garage.

The car door opened and Kian reached out instantly, helping her into the back seat.

“I’ve got you,” he whispered again, guiding her onto the changing mat. As soon as he undid the diaper tapes, the heavy, sour smell filled the car. He didn’t even flinch.

“I’m so sorry,” Aria said, eyes welling up. “It’s okay, baby,” he said calmly, wiping her down. “I leaked on your hand.” “It’s just poop, sweetheart. I’ve handled worse.”

As she lay there, legs raised, knees near her face, her butt being cleaned, wiped, powdered, changed, her eyes drifted to the world outside the window. She watched a pair of coworkers walking by, holding coffee and chatting. One couple passed, fingers laced, kissing softly before heading to the elevator, and she was about to say something that the tickle monster started coming of Kian’s hand, and with her legs raised and held by Kian she couldn’t do much other than to wait for him to clean it, which he did, smilingly. She sighed.

Her heart ached. ”When was the last time Kian and I just kissed in public? When was the last time I felt like his wife, not his patient? Not his toddler?” She thought

The bedroom light was dimmed, casting soft halos across the pale blue walls. The same mobile Aria once stared at during her afternoon naps turned slowly above her head, creaking faintly. But she wasn’t lying in her crib tonight. She sat on the edge of their shared bed, knees drawn in beneath the oversized hoodie Kian had pulled over her earlier. Her diaper rustled underneath with every shift, and the faintest scent of baby lotion still clung to her skin.

Kian had just finished tucking the oil-proof sheet onto the mattress. He glanced at her gently, quietly, waiting, not rushing. Aria stared at her hands. “Kian… I keep thinking that I’m only a burden now.”

He walked over and sat beside her, close but not touching.

“I watch other women in the office,” she continued, her voice a thin thread, “they wear heels and perfume and hold hands with their partners… while I… while I’m texting you to clean me up in the parking lot. I… I don’t feel like a woman anymore. Not the kind you’d desire.”

Kian didn’t speak at first. He let the silence stretch, soft and sacred. Then, gently, he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Do you think desire only lives in perfection?” She didn’t answer.

He shifted to kneel in front of her, resting his hands on her knees. “Aria, I fell in love with you before the diapers. Before the regression. Before the fear. And I stayed. Not because you need me—but because I need you.” “But what if this is who I am now?” she whispered. “What if I never get control back?” “Then I’ll keep changing your diapers. I’ll keep bathing you. And I’ll keep wanting you,” he said. “Not out of duty. Out of love.”

She blinked, eyes suddenly brimming. “Even like this?” He nodded. “Especially like this.” A breath shuddered out of her. “Then… I want to feel like your wife again.”

He searched her face, silently asking for certainty. “Please,” she whispered, voice catching. “Touch me like you used to. Let me feel like more than the girl who gets spoon-fed and changed.” He leaned in slowly, kissing her forehead, then her temple. “You never stopped being my wife. My partner. My love.”

Gently, he helped her lie down, his hands sliding up to unzip her onesie. The fabric fell open, revealing the diaper snugly taped across her hips. He placed a kiss just above its waistband. “Can I?” he asked. She nodded.

With the care of someone unwrapping something sacred, he slowly peeled back each tab. The scent was familiar now, not embarrassing, just a part of her. Kian reached for the warm wipes beside the bed and began to clean her gently, not with cold efficiency, but with a reverence that made her eyes sting.

“Every inch of you,” he murmured, “is beautiful to me.” She gasped softly, her hand reaching for his. “Even now?” she asked, tears slipping out. “Especially now,” he whispered again.

When she was clean, he set the wipes aside and crawled beside her. His fingers grazed down her side, tracing the curve of her hip, the softness of her thigh. “Tell me what you need.” “You,” she breathed, voice quivering. “Just… you.”

He kissed her collarbone, then lower, every motion a question, every sigh her answer, while he held onto him tightly.

Their bodies met slowly, with no rush, no urgency—just a slow ache unfolding, while he placed her legs on his soldier and entered his finger inside her. He moved with the rhythm of someone reacquainting himself with a beloved melody.

When he entered her, her breath hitched, half sob, half relief. She clung to him, legs curling around his hips, not to pull him closer, but to say, Don’t go. I need you here.

“I’ve missed this,” she whispered. “Not just the touching… the being seen like this.” “I see you,” he murmured into her neck. “Always.”

They moved like the ocean, gentle, deep, relentless in its quiet devotion. And when her body betrayed her again—tickle warming the space between them, spread on him too, but he didn’t falter. He held her tighter, brushing a thumb under her eye as shame tried to rise.

“It’s okay,” he breathed. “We’re still here. Still us.” “I’m sorry,” she choked out. “No,” he said firmly. “Never apologize for needing me. I want to be needed.”

She melted into him, every inch of her guardedness slowly slipping away with each movement, each whispered reassurance, each stroke that said you are still mine.

They finally stilled when their body gave, and both cummed for multiple times, their foreheads pressed together, and her tears wet his cheeks.

“I love you,” she whispered. “I’ve always loved you,” he replied.

And they stayed like that, tangled not just in limbs, but in something unbreakable, an intimacy built not from ease, but from endurance.

In a world that often-measured love by ease and desire by perfection, theirs was a quiet defiance—raw, messy, unconditional. And in that moonlit bed, surrounded by oil cloth and soft breath, they rewrote what it meant to be seen, to be held, and to be truly, irrevocably loved.

Author’s Note – Closing Chapter

Thank you for walking alongside Aria and Kian through a story that dared to be different—one that explored trust, vulnerability, and love in its most tender, unconventional form.

This wasn’t just a tale about regression or caregiving. It was about choosing to be seen in your rawest, softest self and being loved not despite that, but because of it. About creating a world where comfort outweighs conformity, and where healing sometimes looks like pacifiers, warm bottles, and a safe lap to cry in.

To those who saw parts of themselves in Aria’s fragility, or Kian’s quiet strength—you are not alone. There is courage in softness, strength in surrender, and power in the kind of love that says, “You’re safe with me, always.”

Whether you’ve followed this journey for the emotional depth, the care-driven dynamic, or simply the humanity behind it all—thank you. Your heart made room for this story, and that means everything.

With love and gentleness,
