Story Notes
A married teacher.
A powerful student.
A husband who turns jealousy into desire.
When Anita becomes the subject of her student’s vulgar fantasies, she expects outrage from her husband. Instead, Kunal fuels the fire—blurring love, lust, and humiliation. Now Anita stands at the edge of temptation, torn between shame and forbidden thrill.
Summary
Aditya, the son of a prominent politician, harasses Anita, a literature teacher in Mumbai. Instead of being indignant, her husband Kunal reacts erotically when she confides in him, which feeds fantasies that conflate shame, guilt, and desire. Through role-playing, Kunal channels Aditya’s vulgarity, reigniting their once-routine sexual life. Anita climaxes with terrifying intensity as she both resists and gives in to these forbidden games. When Kunal encourages her to “become the sketch” after Aditya gives her a provocative sketch of herself, the situation gets worse. Even after Anita chastises Aditya, his quiet seems empty. She eventually gives him her number as curiosity pulls her closer. Anita strays further into fantasies she knows she shouldn’t indulge in between embarrassment and excitement.
Chapter 1: Fantasies One Shouln’t Feed
Anita slammed the key of her Scooty on the table and, with blazing eyes, said, “I can’t take this anymore. I want to resign from that damn school.”
Anita’s voice shook because she was feeling more than just rage. It was a shame. Violation.
Anita and Kunal had a peaceful and respectful life in Mumbai. Both of them were born in the traditional Marwari family of Kolkata.
They had an arranged marriage. Kunal, 34 did his CA from Mumbai and then he joined a private firm there. He is basically from a business family but was never interested pursuing family business.
Anita always had a fascination with Mumbai’s glamorous life. She was 32 and a literature teacher at a reputed private school.
They lived in a 2BHK flat in Andheri East. The flat was modest but fully furnished. They had a 5-year-old daughter, Rhea, the brightest part of their life.
Their marriage is stable, and happy from all angles, and nothing to complain about. Kunal was a very caring husband and a good father.
In bed, Kunal was good but their romance slowly replaced routine and mechanical sex. Kunal was gentle and affectionate, but sometimes Anita yearned for deeper, primal, sensual sex, which earlier they had but with passage of time missing.
They never openly talked about it. But? The silence between their bodies began to speak louder than their bodies.
——–
Kunal raised eyebrow. “Why? What happened?”
Staring at the table, she sighed. “I’m sick of Aditya harassments.”
She sighed as she looked at the table.
Kunal didn’t answer, but his body language got stiffer.
Anita went on, “His dad is a politician in the area–rich, powerful, and entitled. At first, it was simply innocent flirting… saying nice things about my sarees and how pretty I looked.”
“What’s going on now?” Kunal asked, his voice harsher.
“He says vulgar things in class. Not bearable. Today, he went by my desk and said, If I were your husband, I’d never allow you out of bed.”
Kunal’s spoon stopped moving halfway to his mouth. His jaw got stiff. She thought for a second that he may blow up in rage. But then something changed.
Kunal felt a darkness brewing in his chest. It wasn’t precisely jealousy. It was desire, spurred by the thought of his wife being desired by others.
His eyes darkened, his fingers relaxing over the spoon.
“You’re not… upset?” she asked cautiously.
Kunal leaned back, staring at her. “I should be. But all I can think about… is the way you just said that. And the fact that some spoiled brat is dreaming about screwing my wife.”
“Kunal!” she exclaimed, half-scolding, half-shocked.
He rose and slowly walked around the table. Gently, he took her hand and pulled her up.
“Say it again. What did he say?”
“Kunal, no–” she whispered.
“Say it.”
She hesitated, then, trembling slightly, said, “He said… if he were my husband, he’d never let me out of bed.”
Kunal’s hands roamed her back as he growled softly, “He means… my wife is too fuckable.”
Anita felt like she couldn’t breathe. The words were rude–too rude–but the manner Kunal spoke them made her thighs tighten.
He kissed her hard and then pulled away. “Stand in front of the mirror.”
“What?”
“Face the mirror. I want to see what in my wife makes him hard.”
“Kunal, please… this is ridiculous.”
But he stood firm.
“You want to resign just because someone finds you fuckable? Show me what he stares at.”
Her body trembled from the intensity of his words. Head bowed, she walked slowly to the mirror beside their closet.
She paused… then began to undress. Her blouse unhooked with shaking fingers, her saree slipping off her shoulder.
Half-turned toward the mirror, she stood in her petticoat and bra, Kunal’s gaze searing her skin.
Anita felt like she had lost herself. She was no longer the teacher or the mother; she was a woman who had been seen by her husband and was plagued by the look of a youngster she should have silenced.
She felt both guilty and turned on, and in the mirror, she saw both humiliation and desire looking back at her.
“Does he stares this?” Kunal asked, voice hoarse. “Your tits bouncing when you write on blackboard? Or the curve in your ass when you pick up chalk?”
“He imagines removing everything. My bra, my petticoat… everything,” she whispered.”
His excitement helped her to break through her veil of self-control. And when she answered, muttering things she had never said out loud before, it didn’t seem like corruption.
Kunal hissed, “Good girl. Now make it dirtier.”
With trembling lips, she said, “He imagines… tugging my blouse down. Groping my breasts while class continues. Maybe… drawing my panties aside and… doing it right there.”
Kunal pressed against her from behind. She gasped.
Within seconds, he had her against the wall, kissing her hard. Her blouse was tossed aside.
Overwhelmed by arousal, he freed her breast and took it in his mouth, making her whimper.
“Kunal… oh God…”
Her legs instinctively wrapped around him as he slid her nightie down.
“Kunal…!” She gasped and held on to his hair, her thighs moist and shaking.
As Kunal’s hand dived between her thighs, her breath caught and her fingers parted her wet folds. “Dripping,” he snarled. “So damn wet. For him?
“No… for you…” But when you talk like this… ” His fingers slid within her, and she gasped. “I can’t stop it.”
He kissed her neck hard and nibbled. “I’m going to fuck you so hard tonight that you’ll forget that his name.”
But he wasn’t telling the truth. He didn’t want her to forget him.
Her saree was in a pool around her feet, and her bra was halfway down her arms. She looked like a slut–his slut–and she didn’t look away.
“Watch me while I fuck you”, he told her. “I do what he only dreams about.” He opened her legs wider and got ready.
He growled and pushed her in with one shove. Anita screamed, but it was more out of shock than pain.
She put her hands on the mirror to keep her balance as he started to pound into her, hard and without mercy.
He grabbed her hips and said, “This pussy…” “So tight, so desperate. He’s been jerking off imagining about this.”
Anita.” “Stop.. oh God! don’t say that”
“Why not?” He slammed harder.
“You gave him the show.”
Her eyes blinked. “Be fast… Kunal…”
Kunal entered her forcefully, making her gasp.
He reached out, twisted her breast, and said, “Say his name.” She stopped.
“Kunal…”, she hesitated.
Say it,” he said. “Tell him what he thinks he can do.”
She was shaking, wet, and couldn’t talk. “Aditya wants to fuck me.”
“Where?”
“Everywhere,” she said quietly. “Over the desk.” On the blackboard. On my knees. “On his lap while I take attendance…”
He growled like a beast and hit her harder. Anita shouted, then bit her wrist to quiet it down.
Her orgasm was very intense: quick, forceful, and almost scary. She shivered around his cock and fell against the mirror as he fucked her through it.
Kunal groaned, then grabbed her hair, pulled her head back, and cursed as he came deep into her. They stayed like that, not moving. Her legs shook, and his breath was warm on her neck.
Their sweat made the mirror foggy. Finally, he drew out slowly, and their fluids combined and dripped down her pussy.
———–
But as the pleasure wore off, a steady, nagging guilt took its place.
The room was quiet, but her thoughts wasn’t.
“How could I actually say those things? Why did my student’s vulgarity turn me on?”
She looked aside. She murmured softly, “I feel dirty.”
Kunal’s fingers slowly moved down her leg.
“You shouldn’t feel that way.”
“But I said those words… I allowed them in. “
He kissed her shoulder and spoke in a low, forceful voice. “You had very intense orgasm. You made his garbage into something real and powerful. That’s not something to be ashamed of.”
She didn’t say anything and remain silent. Later, as she slept next to him, she said softly, “Are you not angry at him?” He imagined such things about your wife.”
Kunal kissed her on forehead. “No. He is just a spoiled brat who thinks that having money and power means he can have anything. But you–you are mine. Let him fantasise and and jerk off while thinking about you.”
“But he’s crossing the red line.”
“Then ignore him and don’t answer,” he murmured softly. “Don’t boost his ego.” He’ll either back off or show his true colors. We win no matter what.”
Anita was lying still. Her heart was racing, and her body was still shaking from the aftershocks. She didn’t think Kunal would act this way
————–
The Day After
In the kitchen, you could hear knives and spoons and smell toast.
Anita quickly went back and forth between the kitchen and the dining room, still thinking about what had happened the night before.
Kunal sat with the newspaper and pretended to read it while glancing at her.
Rhea was at the table writing in her notepad and murmuring to herself the times tables.
Finally, Anita sat down and put toast on Kunal’s plate.
“Kunal, about last night… “He looked up with cautious eyes. She spoke in a low but forceful voice.
She said, “We can’t do that again,” as she cut her idli without thinking.
” Not with my students. That’s not right.”
He placed the paper down, already feeling defensive. “Come on, Anita. It was just talk, and it was private. No one knows.”
She looked at Rhea and said more calmly.
“That doesn’t matter. I know. Every day, I see them in class. I’m their teacher, not someone who fantasizes them at the middle of night.”
“But you were turned on,” he continued in a low voice, his eyes narrowing. “You didn’t really stop me.”
Anita’s hand stopped in the air. She let out a sigh. “I know,” she said, barely above a whisper. “That makes it worse.”
“Mama, where’s my red pen?” Rhea abruptly stopped and looked up from her notes.
Anita stood up right away, relieved for the break. “In your pencil case, Rhea. Check it out right.”
Kunal leaned in as she turned around. “So what? Just pretend as if it never happened.”
She sat down again and stared at her plate. “Let me bluntly tell you that I can’t bring that kind of shame into my classroom. I won’t.”
Rhea came back and waved the pen. “Found it!” You were right, Mama.”
Anita smiled a little and said in her ears ” See. Mama is always right.”
She looked at Kunal again, and her eyes said that this was final. He nodded and chewed carefully.
The talk was ended, but the echo of it was still quite strong in the air.
———-
When Anita walked into the classroom, she saw Aditya seated at his desk right away. Her breath stopped for a second.
Last night, memories were back.
She had whispered Aditya’s name at her climax.
And Kunal remark at breakfast table
“You were turned on… You didn’t exactly stop me.”
The words kept coming back to her, making her cheeks hot.
Aditya was right there, absolutely ignorant. She made her fists tight and forced herself to look away, focusing on the stack of papers she was holding.
“This can’t happen again.”
She took a deep breath to calm herself and attempted to push the thoughts and pictures away, bringing herself back to the present.
She tried to ignore Aditya as much as possible. There was no mention of Aditya at home too.
Aditya, on the other hand, kept going with new ways of teasing.
His words were more sharp and obscene. He stopped pretending and became more bold.
“Madam aap ka aaj blouse lesson se jyada tight lag raha hai.”
(Ma’am, your blouse today looks tighter than your speech.)
“Aap jitni tired lagati ho, lagta hai sir ne poori raat neend udaayi hai–apni bhi aur aapki bhi.
(The way you look sleepy sometimes makes it seem if sir has taken both of your sleep and his. -)
She could no longer ignore his actions since it had gone too far. But she hadn’t told Kunal what Aditya had said. She hadn’t told him that Aditya’s eyes were still hungry and that his remarks had become sharper and dirtier.
She had kept those details to herself deliberately. Deep down, she had started to realize that Kunal wasn’t just upset with them; he was aroused.
Until one day, she couldn’t keep it in any longer.
A paper folded landed on her desk. She didn’t open it until she shut herself in the staff room restroom. Unfolding the sheet made her fingers shake.
It was a drawing. Rude… yet clear. A woman–her–drawn spread out across a classroom bench. Blouse pulled tight, saree pleats upset. Her lips parted, breasts accentuated. Legs drawn wide open, provocatively. Rude. Disturbing.
At the top, scrawled in Hindi, the title read: “Ma’am ki Open Class” (Ma’am’s Open Class).
Angry, she wrinkled the paper but was unable to discard it. Though she couldn’t toss it away, she crumpled the paper in rage.
Chapter 2: Becoming The Sketch
At night, she gave this sketch to Kunal quietly.
With her fingers clasped and her legs drawn together, she perched on the edge of the bed. He continued to look at the paper. Her chest grew constricted. Was he upset? Stunned? Worse–interested?
As if learning the contours of her body from the sketch, his thumb absently touched the corner of the page.
“I am… amazed. Disturbed, indeed. But also amazed.” Kunal said in slow voice.
Anita kept a careful eye on him. It was hard to miss the intensity in his eyes, the tiny heat that rose to his cheeks, and the way his breath caught just a little. Something more profound than his measured words was revealed by the faint trembling in his fingers and the slightest tightening of his jaw. “You’re aroused,” she remarked, smiling knowingly as she steadily met his eyes.
He didn’t refute it. His gaze lingered over the paper, scanning it once more.
“He’s fantasising about you. He draws you the way he imagines you.”
“Stop,” she said softly.
He did not listen. Instead, he came closer and said softly, “He has drawn as if you are offering your body. Legs apart, ready to fuck.
“Kunal, please- Hold on.”
His eyes were fixed on a little detail.
He said,” Look… here. At your wrist.”
Anita looked carefully. Nearly buried in the lines, there was a mangalsutra, not around the neck….but gently looped around her wrist, like a bracelet.
A mangalsutra is a sacred necklace worn by married Hindu women which symbolizes a woman’s marital status, much like a wedding ring in Western cultures.
She gasped.
Kunal leaned close, murmuring against her ear with a low voice: “Amusing! He slipped it from your neck to your wrist, as if you were offering it to him. What i I lower it, and put it down there, where only I have the right?
Her thighs reflexively squeezed together.
He kissed her on the shoulder. “You feel that, right?”
“His view of you is disgusting. But the way I see you now, it’s fire.”
He sat next to her.
“Anita, look at me.”
She certainly did.
And he softly and maliciously, whispered, “Let us use it.”
She opened her eyes. “Use what?”
” Use sketch.”
She hoped she was mistaken, but she understood what he meant. It was filthy idea. However, something inside of her tightened at the imagination.
“Let me act as Aditya this evening. Let me play the boy who fantasizes about his teacher in that position.”
She flinched slightly. “You want to turn me on from his filth?”
Kunal’s eyes hardened, not with malice but with want.
“I wish to bring our sexual feeling back. That drawing enraged me. But, I cannot ignore the artistic value of it. I am excited to see how a student of yours imagines you. Let us turn his filthy fantasy into ours in constructive way.”
The idea was disgusting. It scared her.
But, secretly it thrilled her also. She wanted to say no, but her body was already betraying her.
She finally said, “And what precisely would we do?”
He said softly, “We will not draw inspiration from the sketch, but we will be the sketch.”
Being the sketch meant giving in to the gaze of the student who created that sketch and to make his fantasy a reality. Her thighs betrayed her with a throb.
Anita scowled.
“What do you mean?”
He took the wrinkled paper and smoothed it out.
“Your pose. Your bench seat. Your sari. The way your legs were sketched… I want everything. Exactly ”
“Kunal, that drawing is disgusting.”
“But it’s you, Anita. Whether we like it or not, he caught your emotion very erotically.”
She paused. Her breath was coming in rapid bursts. Kunal moved behind her. His voice, tinged with authority, softened.
“Listen. Adjust your saree as in the sketch.”
She hesitated before starting to unwrap.
Her husband wasn’t undressing her. Rather she was being undressed in front of a boy who wasn’t even present in the room.
He carefully led her to the desk, surprisingly precisely arranging her body.
He said, “Sit at the edge. Just like that in the sketch”
He spread her legs and set one thigh bent at the knee while the other lay farther out. “It’s uncomfortable,” she replied, moving with uneasiness.
Her hair covered her features and her blouse stuct to her skin, making her exposed and venerable.
“I know,” he remarked.
“But that’s the point. It’s not about your comfort. It’s about losing control. Your student imagined her teacher spreading like this… and I get to make it real.”
He thumbed her nipple as he grasped her breast through the blouse.
“Your blouse was tight, straining in the sketch, just like at present. He wished to look at this…,” She winced as he unhooked the fastenings one by one behind.
Her top came undone. Her breast rose and fell quickly.
“Kunal, this is…….”
“Shhh…..” he said, his lips near her ear.
” I am not Kunal, I am your student, Aditya. The boy who sketched this. The one who has been dreaming about this very time for weeks.”
Her jaw tight, she shut her eyes. Her lips shook. “A… Aditya.”
“Good girl.”
He thrust into her slowly, purposefully, causing her back to arch off the desk.
Though the words came, low and menacing, against her ear:
He said, “You were hiding this every day under that saree,” his voice husky with something worse than want.
He touched her vagina with his finger above her saree.
” I knew, Ma’am…” you’d be this wet for me.”
With ease, he parted her pussy’s soft, swollen lips with his middle finger. He found it open and slippery, and he slid inside her with a cautious, methodical push.
She felt horror at the idea that she had unwittingly let a boy see who she was, that her everyday modesty had been eroticized.
Anita’s breath caught. Her head shouted no, but her body betrayed her. Her hips tilted just a little, and her thighs shook against her willpower.
” Anyway, your hubby’s name?”
“Kunal”, said slowly.
“Do you moan like this when Kunal fucks you? he hissed, “Or only when your student eventually gets between your legs?”
She gasped. The words were ruthlessly honest, dirty, and cruel. She couldn’t decide which stung more, the question or the fact that she couldn’t honestly answer it.
“Kunal, stop… ”
” Call me Aditya now.”
Kunal was acting as Aditya now.
He pressed more. She, shaking, attempted to push against his chest. But her thighs instead clasped around his waist.
“Every time you bent over the desk, I pictured this… ”
He rocked more forcefully while holding her hips.
“You are wearing a saree. Your dripping pussy is only for me.”
She let out a gasp. “That isn’t…”
“Then why are you gripping around me like your body is freightened to let go”, he said softly. “Like it now belongs to me.”
Cheeks red, she turned her face, but her fingers clutched his back, pulling nails over his skin.
He slowed, taunting, “Tell me you don’t want your student’s cock inside you.
He glanced at her and drew back a little.
“Speak it. Say, Fuck me, Aditya.”
“No…” But her hips rose, searching for him once more.
Her pride was engaged in its final battle. However, she knew that her body was going to surrender.
He didn’t move.
“Anita! Speak it; otherwise, I will leave you on the brink, you dirty teacher.
Her lips shook. “Aditya, fuck me.”
His gaze grew darker. Then he slammed into her.
She screamed–loud, raw, shattering.
“There it is,” he hissed.
“Tomorrow in class, I will be silent. But every sound you made tonight will stay with me.”
As usual, he would sit quietly and respectfully. Nobody would be aware. However, she would. The groans of tonight would reverberate in every word that was said.
He drove into her harder now, and her fists clawed at the desk, her blouse sliding entirely off one shoulder.
He remarked, “You look like the sketch now, Ma’am.” “Open, wet owned.”
She wasn’t sure if she should hide or remain the same. She was the teacher in the sketch at this point, not just Anita.
Moaning his name between thrusts, “Aditya… Aditya…“, she started to spasm under him.
She had an intense orgasm- loud, shaking and, like a confession.
Minutes passed.
Anita sat quietly, her hair in mess, her saree wrinkled at the waist, and her blouse falling off her shoulder. Her chest still rose and fell with the tremors, but her eyes had lost focus.
Kunal knelt next to the desk and ran his palm over her shaking thigh. “Please talk to me,” he murmured softly.
She gazed at him, and embarrassment fought with the heat on her cheeks. “I shouldn’t have acted that way. Not that fantasy. It’s not right. That sketch, that boy–he’s only a student,
Kunal. And we… ”
Her voice broke. Kunal’s hand stayed still. “Anita, listen to me now. We didn’t touch anyone. We didn’t really cross any line. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“But I imagined about him. You played his role. That’s the bit that makes me scared.”
“There is nothing wrong to fantasizes about Aditya if it make out mundane sexual life alive.
The matter ended there but Anita was not looking satisfied, but she preferred to remain silent.
—————
One week passed.
One evening, Anita was silent after her dinner, with the plates still on the table. Kunal sensed that something was wrong with her.
At last, she murmured.
“I heard Aditya today talking to another guy in the locker hallway.”
Kunal looked up. “What did he say?” She looked him in the eye and said in a strong voice. “He was bragging that I treat him differently because I want him. He brags that I don’t mind him staring me. It feels as if I’m playing a game with him.”
Kunal was tensed, “Did you talk to him?” Anita nodded. “After class. I summoned him in and scolded him very strongly.
“Aditya was totally stunned and could say anything. He looks scarred. After that he started avoiding me and behaving like a good boy.”
” But Anita, this is what you always wanted. Now he has became a good boy in the class.”
She nodded. “Yes. He’s gone silent. Doesn’t stare. Finishes his work. No teasing.”
Kunal laughed. Her eyes got sharper. “You sound like you’re almost disappointed.”
“Not at all.” She lifted her eyebrow.
“All I mean is…” He put the phone down. “You used to come home with a red face. Hands shaking with rage. Now? He stared at her. “You look… bored.”
She laughed. “That guy was harassing me. Do you think I liked that?
“I think,” he added as he stood up, “a part of you wanted it, his dark fantasies.”
She looked aside, her lips hardening. “You’re disgusting.”
He moved up behind her, cautiously put his arms around her waist, and whispered in her ear, “And yet, every time I say what he said, you’re wet.”
She didn’t say anything, but her eyes sparkled. He moved in closer. “Why not give him something in return?”
She got tense. “What do you mean?”
“A little push. A clue. Something that says, You haven’t forgotten.”
“I’m not pushing him.”
He said in a quiet voice, “You’re not discouraging him either.” “He’s already in your head. Just say it.”
————–
The next day, at school.
Anita stood at the board, her cotton saree clinging in the humid classroom. They were discussing career choices.
One student said he wanted to be a writer. Another joked about cricket. She smiled faintly, then let her voice drop ever so slightly.
“This class hides a lot of talent,” she said, scanning the room. “Athletes. Authors. Some of you… might even do well in more creative pursuits.”
A pause.
“Like drawing.”
She let the word hang.
“An artist doesn’t have to go anywhere. He can reveal things–hidden things–just by watching.”
Her eyes flicked, just once, to the back of the room.
Aditya wasn’t laughing.
He wasn’t smiling.
He was only watching.
The bell rang. The room emptied.
Except for one.
As she packed her notes, she sensed him.
“Nice line, ma’am,” Aditya said quietly.
She didn’t look up right away. When she did, her face was unreadable.
“If you think everything is about you,” she said calmly, “that’s your ego, not my intention.”
“But you said drawing,” he replied, almost teasing.
“You emphasized it. Like you wanted to provoke me. Like you wanted me to remember.”
She stood fully now, facing him.
“You stopped talking. I assumed it was over.”
“You misunderstood,” he said. “I stopped so you’d miss it. You miss the way I undressed you with words.”
Her voice hardened. “Don’t speak to me like that.”
He smiled, slow and deliberate. “Then why are you standing so close?” His voice dropped. “Why haven’t you walked away?”
Her voice faltered. “Because I’m not afraid of you.”
He stepped in. “No. You’re curious. You want to know how far I’ll go. You want me to misbehave.”
She clenched her fists. “You’re a boy playing with fire.”
“And you,” he said, eyes locked on hers, “are the flame pretending not to enjoy being touched.”
Silence.
Then he asked, almost gently, “Could I have your number?”
She narrowed her eyes. “Why?”
“Just to send something. No calls. No noise. One message. Maybe a drawing. Or words you’ll hate to love.”
Her hands trembled.
She didn’t just write the number. She gave it slowly, deliberately, biting her lip as she handed it over.
She placed it on the desk between them. Not in his hand. Just… there.
He picked it up, slid it into his pocket, and walked away without a word.
Her breath was shallow as she stood motionless.
He had her number from her.
She would now be throbbing, wet, and guilty as she waited for whatever he dared to send.

Chapter 3: The Sketch That Infuriated the Husband
With the exception of the occasional light from a passing cars outside, the bedroom was silent and dark. As he slept next to her, Kunal’s breathing was even and deep.
Lying on her back, she stared at the ceiling while her fingers nervously fiddled with her camisole’s hem. She kept looking at her phone, which was on the nightstand with the screen turned off.
Nothing has changed. No phone call. Not a message. Aditya didn’t even send an emoji. She shuffled uneasily beneath the covers, bewildered and annoyed.
“How come he hasn’t called? What is the reason behind his silence? That man had never missed an opportunity to display his daring, flirt, or provoke. And now, after she’d given him her number, something as audacious, no response, nothing?”
The fact that the silence was making her restless bothered her more than anything else. Beneath her top’s thin fabric, her nipples were sensitive. Her legs wouldn’t remain motionless.
Kunal didnt like the when told about her giving Aditya mobile number. But he hadn’t spoken louder. He didn’t have to. It only took one glance, one pause, and one well-chosen sentence.
He had remarked, “Anita, you went too far. Fantasy is supposed to remain in our brains. As soon as it materialises, it begins to erode its true excitement.”
“Kunal I was brought into this world by your provocation and encouragement. You had me thinking about what Aditya may do, how he might see me, and what it would be like to be noticed and drawn. This fire was started by you. You’re warning me not to get burned now?”
Slowly, painfully, though, she realized what he meant. He wanted that she should not act on the fantasy, but secretly enjoy the ache it causes. And the he would be the only one to enjoy wetness caused between her legs becuase of this ache.
And now she had gone too near the brink. She had provided her number to Aditya. A simple, foolish deed.
But this act only that has the chance to change everything. She could already picture him boasting to others, transforming her intentions into something more vile and disgusting.
She felt cold at the thought. “I opened a door for him. Even though he hasn’t done it yet, he still intends to do so.”
She glanced at the phone once more. Nothing has changed. She hated the fact that the mere thought of his waiting had made her wet down there.
While heat brazenly blossomed inside her, she was lying next to her husband and feigning sleep. She pressed her legs closer together and squeezed her eyes shut.
“I’m not like this. I’m not this.”
Her arousal was nearly equal to her embarrassment. Breathing shakily, she put one hand over her face.
Even if Aditya sent a message right now, she wouldn’t reply. She had made up her mind. No more foolishness. She couldn’t allow him to amuse himself with her weakness.
She had stepped too close to the fire. It would burn her if she got much closer.
But she does not know how to get rid of the fire between her thighs.
———–
The phone then vibrated.
Unidentified Number:
“Couldn’t stop thinking about you tonight. I completed one more sketch.”
Her breath caught.
She stared at the screen, hesitating.
Then she tapped it open.
Her world tilted.
It was her again–this time, more obscene, more violating.
Drawn sitting on a classroom table, panties pushed down to her knees, blouse open, bra slipping from her shoulders. Lips parted. Head thrown back in surrender.
Large hands fondled her breasts from behind. There was no face that fondles, only hands.
A man was tied to a chair nearby–gagged, helpless.
It was probably Kunal.
And below–between the tied man’s legs–was a pitiful, small erection. A few drops of semen mocked its uselessness.
Anita’s stomach churned.
Her thighs pressed together–reflexive, involuntary.
She reached out, touched Kunal’s arm.
“Get up,” she whispered.
He stirred. “Hmm?”
“You have to see something.”
She handed him the phone.
Sitting up slowly, he blinked at the screen.
His jaw stiffened. His thumb hovered but didn’t touch.
He stayed silent.
Then returned the phone.
He lay back, staring at the ceiling.
“Kunal?” she asked gently.
“I realize it’s… wrong.”
Still nothing.
“Kunal.” She tried to sound casual. “It’s only a sketch.”
He turned his head slowly. His voice low.
“Does it excite you?”
She looked away. “No.”
He kept watching her.
“Are you sure?”
This time, she hesitated longer.
“I mean… it’s disgusting.”
Silence.
“I’m… shocked.”
Still, nothing from him.
Finally, she whispered, “All right. Maybe a little. I didn’t want to feel it. But… I admit I did.”
It sounds like a confession in a pitch-black chapel. A hidden desire that slips through a sealed door.
His jaw clenched.
“Right.”
“I never meant to hurt you.”
He replied flatly, “It’s not about hurt. The sketch speaks for itself.”
“What do you mean?”
“It says I’m not enough for you. Or worse–that I like seeing you used. Either way, I lose.”
She flinched. “No. I don’t see it that way.”
He didn’t move. “I’m gagged, tied, useless–and you look like you’re melting. That’s not fantasy. That’s humiliation.”
Her cheeks burned with guilt and something she didn’t want to name. “That’s not what it is.”
He said coldly, “But that’s what aroused you. Not him. Not even the act. It was me–powerless, watching–that stirred you.”
She looked down, defeated. “Let’s not talk about it anymore.”
Silence.
Trying to shift the moment, she touched his hand lightly.
“But you know what?”
He didn’t respond.
She smiled faintly. “You forget how good you are in bed.”
Still nothing.
She leaned closer. “Kunal… you’re not the man in that chair.”
He turned slightly.
“You’re the one who gets to prove him wrong. Right now. Here.”
His jaw twitched, then loosened.
Softly, she kissed him.
He responded, hand moving to her hip with quiet strength.
⸻——–
The phone buzzed again.
Just as their breaths quickened, the sound cut through the darkness.
Anita froze. Her eyes flew open.
Another message.
She reached for it, read it silently.
“Still imagining me between your legs, ma’am?”
Her heart pounded. She turned off the screen and set the phone down quickly.
Kunal grabbed it before she could stop him.
He read the message. His jaw locked. His fingers curled tight around the device.
“Kunal…” she whispered, body still warm with wanting. “Don’t let him into this bed. Stay with me. Only you.”
He didn’t speak. Just stared at the phone–storm in his eyes.
She gently placed his hand back on her waist. “Please.”
He didn’t answer.
“I… I don’t know what to say.”
Without a word, he swiped the screen and hit Call.
The phone rang.
Then a voice:
“Finally. You couldn’t wait to talk, could you? Missing the way I saw you?”
Kunal spoke–cold and cutting.
“Aditya. You’re bolder than I thought.”
A pause.
“Sir… I didn’t know it was you.”
” You fucking bustard, now you know na” His tone became savage.
“You think it’s okay to sketch my wife like that and then send her your little filth after you jerk them off?”
“It was just a fantasy, sir. I meant no harm.”
“Don’t feed me that bullshit. You drew her without her consent. Sexualized her. Sent it as a gift. That’s not fantasy. That’s a violation. That is fucking disgusting.”
Aditya sounded hesitant now.
“I thought… maybe she didn’t mind. She never stopped me in class. I thought maybe… it turned her on.”
Kunal’s voice dropped. Steel.
“Even if she turned on, that doesn’t make her your property. She isn’t yours to project on. Just because she didn’t slap you in public doesn’t mean her body is your canvas.”
Another pause.
Aditya, carefully: “Then maybe it’s not about permission. Maybe it’s about desire. Some desires are silent, sir.”
“You are a filthy little prick, I’ll shatter your fucking face if you say it one more time.”
“You bustard: I will ruin your life if I ever catch you staring at her. I will complain it to police and make sure you cannot sit for exam.”
Aditya wanted to say something–to object, to lie, to deny. However, he refused to move his mouth.
“What would happen to your father’s political standing if his son was found harassing his teacher by drawing her in the nude?”
His mind was a jumble of thoughts. A cold, primal fear took hold of him. Fear of not only punishment but of exposure as well as scandalized. Shameful his dad learned of him being perceived as a pervert rather than promising son of a well-known person.
“I understand. I won’t draw her again. I won’t come near her.”
Kunal ended the call in one sharp motion.
With the phone still in his hand, Kunal sat on the edge of the bed. His cheeks had turned hot and then pale. He breathed sharply, deliberately, with something darker than passion.
Observing him from behind, Anita felt the shift. This was not the same man who had once encouraged her to fantasise the same boy, and asked her, half in jest, half in arousal, what it felt like when Aditya gazed at her blouse for too long.
Something inside of him had jerked back and broken. “He went too far,” Kunal eventually stated. He spoke softly. managed. Too regulated.
Pulling the cover around her, Anita sat up. “I… I thought that we were merely having fun. Exploring something.”
Kunal made a sudden turn. “Having fun?” His eyes had changed; they were no longer amusing.
“There was no flirtation in that sketch. It was humiliation. Of you. Of me.”
With his hands clasped and his back straight, he walked to the window. “Make me a promise,” he said. She raised her head. “You won’t talk to him ever again. No messages. No phone calls. No lingering glances at the school. Nothing.”
She paused.
“I swear.” Silence fell. Kunal took a seat again.
“You see, I was also taking advantage of him to make out sexual life better, but that was wrong.”
Softer now, he murmured, “From now on, Anita, if we want to explore something… we do it here, with one another. Not with a kid who confuses art with obsession.”
She extended her hand to grasp his. “I get it.” On the inside, though, she wasn’t sure whether she understood his rage or her own response to that unsettling sketch better. And both of them realized something had changed in the ensuing hush.
After a long silence, she stored courage to say,
“But Kunal, I am hurt why did you tell him… that I was turned on?”
Kunal’s eyes didn’t meet hers. “I wasn’t trying to expose you. I wanted him to know I saw through him.”
“But you didn’t protect me,” she said tightly. “You confirmed his fantasy. You put me in it.”
“I was trying to save you.”
But the words were already in the air–sharp, undeniable.
She felt them settle on her skin like something heavy. Shame.
Or something worse.
Later that night, lying in the dark beside Kunal, she heard his voice in her mind again:
“Even if it turned her on…”
She wasn’t afraid of what Aditya had drawn.
She didn’t even know what Kunal truly saw.
But what terrified her most–was how her body had responded.
————————-
Final Echoes That Remain
Months had passed. Aditya had disappeared from her world, Anita had repeatedly informed Kunal.
She claimed to have used her own hands to burn and scorch his sketches. She had stated icily that “that boy has no place in our life anymore.”
Kunal trusted her. Or he might have wanted to. Perhaps it was simpler than asking him questions about the answers of which may be scarring to know.
Chai at dawn, news updates over breakfast, grocery shopping, watching Netflix together, and having sex that had its own rhythm–sometimes deep and tangled, sometimes rushed, sometimes strangely quiet–were all part of their daily routines again.
They didn’t mention his name. No, not directly. Not even in a lighthearted way.
However, there were changes he could feel in her body. When she was touched, her breath caught. She seemed ashamed of something deeper in the way she clung to him during the climax.
When she moaned, her eyes occasionally appeared to be haunted. Yes, she was there, but not all of her. She remained partially disguised. closed. Like a drawer that’s locked in a room you know well.
Until A yellow envelope appeared– buried beneath old files in the bedroom cabinet. No label. Not a single handwriting. Kunal took it out without thinking.
It was heavier than it ought to be. He opened it. And stopped. Two sketches, the ones she claimed to have burned. But those were now altered.
— First sketch: The original, Anita, was sprawled out on a school bench, and he knew her. saree pleats agitated, blouse pulled tight.
But now… Someone had redesigned her blouse. With gentle coloring, each button was undone one at a time, exposing the slope of her breasts.
The soft curve of one breast had been displayed as a dark valley. A dark, smeared spot appeared between her thighs which appeared moist.
And behind it, in a handwriting he was all too familiar with:
“He melted me just by staring at me, without even touching me.” A part of him was disturbed by the words.
— Second Sketch: After he paused, he unfolded it.
This one had repulsed him when he first saw it. Anita stooped over a desk, half naked. There was a man behind her, tied to a chair. That man supposed to be Kunal.
The changes were harsh now, though. His eyes had widened, but his arms remained locked. Fearful. He depicted his tiny, sagging, and exhausted penis in excruciating detail.
It wasn’t only limp. It appeared defeated, as though it had let her down. Semen, drawn almost like tears, trickled down his thigh in a narrow line.
Still hunched over, Anita’s form was even more intricate. She had a gorgeous arched back and stubborn hips. Her posture exuded strength.
In this case, she wasn’t the victim. She was… in charge. It wasn’t a seductive message. It was the penalty. He let his breath out slowly and dryly. A sketch of himself–but devoid of masculinity, defeated, and hollowed out.
Upon first observation, Kunal’s breath caught as he thought these were once again Aditya’s sketches. Unmistakable sensuality and the familiar heat all pointed to the same unsettling source.
But doubt crept in when his gaze shifted over the lines more intently. Aditya’s distinctive flair was absent from these sketches.
The assured precision of his shading, the forceful elegance–gone. The lines were more shaky and weaker.
Not all the dimensions were precise. Too many curves. The shadows are too hazy. These weren’t drawn by a skilled hand. Not by Aditya or his like.
Now he thought, had Anita recreated these? Her style was all over everything. These sketches were not drawn by a voyeur, but were memories of a lady who has first hand information of living that moment.
Now she has became an artist.
His eyes were fixed on the sketches while he sat motionless, breathing shallowly.
These hadn’t been burnt by her. She had retained and re-drew these.
Her hunger, her authority, the shame she keeps hidden.
Is she still in contact with Aditya? He was not the focus of this. It was about her. It’s his desire, her hunger and wants.
Next, he heard the creak of the door. Footsteps of slippers in the corridor. Kunal’s body shook.
Scrambling, he folded the envelope and placed it deep beneath the drawer with trembling hands.
She entered the room with a mug of tea in her hand. “Are you moving that old mess around again?” With a laugh, she inquired.
Hardly calm, Kunal turned. Indeed, simply throwing away old car documents.
After walking over and taking a sip of her tea, she bent down to give him a quick peck on the cheek. It felt too light of a kiss. Too innocent. Like she was kissing an unaware version of him.
“Dinner is nearly ready,” she said kindly. “Moreover, I discovered the playlist you enjoyed during our holidays in Lonavala?”
His smile said it all. He had to. She had a gentle gaze, as though nothing had happened. But the drawings continued to murmur in Kunal’ mind, out of necessity. And a woman who was unable to express her hunger chose to draw it instead.
She hummed as she walked out of the room, hips swinging in that easy, unconsciously rhythmic way.
His thoughts were racing. Motivated by an inexplicable restless urge, Kunal continued to look till his fingertips came into contact with another envelope while he was nearly hidden beneath a pile of vintage sketchbooks.
One more folded sketch. This was a totally new one.
It was raw and again not well-drawn like Aditya’s drawings; there is no elegance in the shading or accuracy in the contours.
It indicates that Anita did this drawing herself as well.
She was naked. She sat proudly on a tall wooden stool with her spine curving in an almost feline arch. Hard, expressive breasts. One thigh rested on a footstool, and her legs were slightly apart. Her pubic hair, painstakingly engraved, was a little triangle of dark curls, drawn between them with evident meaning. No embarrassment.
Her bra and petticoat were lying on the studio floor beside her, crumpled carelessly, as though they had been stripped away by haste.
Particular attention was paid to the petticoat, which had a glossy stain in the middle that was shadowed and damp. Her own moisture, sketched in pencil.
In sharp contrast, a man was sketching her on a canvas. Much taller than Aditya, older, an upright, slender figure with broad shoulders and a neatly trimmed, short beard.
Kunal’s breath came in quick gasps.
Kunal’s eyes picked up on two elements that were clearly visible.
One was a small wooden plaque on the wall behind the artist, with two letters read “AD” on it.
Second, there is a glimpse of cables traced across the paper’s sky like arched ribs, behind Anita’s naked body and through the window.
Light, hazy lines that are difficult to read unless you know what to look for. A group of erect pylons. A bend. Light streaked brokenly against what appeared to be sea.
He gasped for air.
Worli-Bandra Sea Link. It was only an impression, not a full description. However, this is the only way someone could have depicted that view from a Bandra apartment at that precise moment.
This was not just fantasy.
The man in the sketch is not Aditya definitely.
But worse.
The door which Aditya has opened, it seems that someone else has walked in.
And he had been welcomed by Anita.
This man was not imaginary but a real one. She had posed in this way, with her legs wide, her pubic hair uncovered, her desire dripping, and being observed by a strange man and capturing it on canvas by his hand.
She had been ignited by Aditya. Her fire, however, had now found air. ⸻ Kunal shut his throat. He had frigid hands.
The man in the sketch does not look to be seducing her but was there to witness her.
And she seems excited to offer herself to his gaze.
Shame was not the subject of the sketches. It represented a confession of a desire.
Who is this man with beard in this picture?
What does the name AD mean? Does it means a name or a code between them.
If Anita could bare herself so completely before a stranger, what would have stopped that man from crossing every line.
When she’s in bed with me… does her mind wander to him?”
He was the first to see her nude. But he didn’t see the woman she had become now.
And for the first time, he wanted to understand her rather than own her.
To be Continued
Chapter 4: Search of A.D.
Kunal was unable sleep.
Unrelenting, unimaginable, the initials A.D. lingered in his mind like an itch even weeks later.
Kunal sat stooped over his laptop every night after Anita went to sleep, the screen casting a cold blue glow across his face.
He searched anonymous DeviantArt profiles, half-dead blogs, and forgotten Instagram reels for hints, signatures, and information that would help him. He hunted through the whispers of the internet, following posts in obscure art forums and comment chains.
Finally, one thread began to pulse with potential. “Check out the A.D. guy by the Bandra slums if you want draw raw. It’s not high- class studio, but it paints fire. One my friend went there for a nude portrayal.”
— Posted by “simarnhot.”
Probably fake. Probably not.
He did, however, save the location. ⸺ Kunal went to Bandra by local train that weekend. No car. He wore a simple T-shirt, sling bag, and faded jeans. Just another enthusiast exploring the shadowy side of the city.
The air around the Bandra slums smelled of faint urine, paan spit, and rust. Men without shirts were leaning against poles, their eyes half-lidded with silent derision and boredom.
“Amol Deshmukh?” he asked nonchalantly, pretending not to care.
One man smiled. “Oh, nangi painting banata hai na?” (The man who paints nude women?)
Another said, “Seedha jao,” with a skewed smile. “Left mein jhopda hai uska.” Directly ahead, out into the shack.)
A third, mischievous voice then said, “Kaise hoti hain woh auratein jo nangi hone aati hain ek jhopdi mein?” (In such a shack, what kind of women strip naked?)
Finally, “Sunaa hai kuch pati bhi aate hain… baith ke tamasha dekhte hain.” (I’ve even heard husbands attend purely for the entertainment.)
—————————
Unfazed, Kunal kept on walking.
A labyrinth of lanes, dripping clothes, and posters of forgotten movies occupied the chawl beyond the stall. Dogs slept under the shadow of broken crates.
“Studio — A.D.” then showed up.
Paints chipped. Letters were almost lost.
He knocked once. The door opened creakingly.
Amol Deshmukh, AD was standing there, tangled, thick, and graying hair.
A cigarette dangled from his mouth. He held a loose banyan on his paint-smudged chest.
His dark, perceptive eyes steered clear of Kunal’s. They saw through him.
With a plume of smoke, he said, “So, are you here for the art–or the nude women?”
“I am here to buy.”
Amol’s lip shifted. “Of course you are.”
Sweat, turpentine, and unspoken things filled the studio.
Dipped brushes in dried colors. The paint adhered to the floor like shadows.
Amol muttered, “They call me a pornographer downstairs.” He flicked ash into a shattered mug, saying,
“A dirty man with a brush.” They want to have a look when I’m making a live painting. When she takes off her clothes, they beg me to let him look.”
Then he gave a shrug. “They believe I sell skin.” Kunal remained still.
Amol said, “I never let them stay during a live pose.” “Art is not the reason they are here. They are more interested in flesh rather than in any kind of art.”
Kunal’s forehead wrinkled. “But if they see flesh then, what do you see in them?”
Amol’s eyes become sharp. “The soul. Erotica is not spreading legs. It’s about revealing something deeper. However, most people are unable to see past their nipples.”
A pause.
“They don’t know what their wives are starving for.”
The words were strong, but Kunal did not answer. One by one, Amol began taking out canvases.
A woman kneels naked before a series of oil lamps, her mangalsutra draped between her bare breasts.
Another–against a pane of glass that had been wet by rain.
Another–lips open, fingers between thighs, blindfolded, straddling a chair. They were all filled with silent ritual. A defilement of the faith.
Other paintings depicted women in intimate, vulnerable situations, either fully or partially nude, each bolder than the one before it. The pure sensuality in every brushstroke stirred in him a fierce heat that sank beneath his flesh and refused to leave.
However, none of these belonged to Anita. “How much do you give them?” Kunal asked in a dull voice.
Amol laughed aloud. “Pay? I have never paid for a model. He leaned closer. Kunal’s forehead wrinkled. “What?”
“Because when they undress here, it’s not for me. but it is for their own fantasies and desires. Some women even make me offers of money, may be out of gratitude.”
How are you find them?” Kunal pushed.
“I don’t advertise. They hear whispers from friends in Kitty parties, from husband or lover, from each other.”
After a moment, Kunal posed the inevitable question: “You’re never tempted, when they’re here standing with their bra and panties out?
Amol stubbed his cigarette and turned to face the window. “I do,” he replied. “But the art dies if I touch them. They come here to be seen, rather than claimed.
As Kunal’s gaze swept over the remaining paintings, looking for Anita, he suddenly became interested in one painting.
A flash of silver, hidden behind a pile of canvases., anklet, crescent-shaped earring, a curl of hair. He moved in closer.
Next–truth.
Under the left breast, a pale mark.
Close to the thigh, a crescent scar.
It was definitely Anita.
Another canvas beside it. Her body leaned back. The lips opened. Firm breasts. The pelvis tilted, one leg bent. It’s inviting, not vulgar.
Half lost, half wild was her expression. Kunal had known a dark version of her.
“She didn’t say much,” Amol remarked. “However, her silence screamed. She cried the first time she posed.”
Kunal turned. “She cried?”
“Not out of shame, but with relief.”
She claimed that nobody had seen her in a long time.”
“Has she mentioned her name?”
Amol shook his head. “I gave her the name Kamana. Desire, Craving.”
Kunal spoke in a raspy voice. “Do you have any more painting of the same model?”
“Yes, one more but incomplete.”
Dimly illuminated by a hanging lightbulb, he trailed behind Amol to the rear easel.
Kunal stopped in. She was standing there, naked, with one hand behind her head and her back arched. Her pubic hair was displayed prominently.
Unfinished, but already haunted, were her eyes.
“I want to buy this one”, muttered Kunal.
Amol took a nod.
“Already told you that it isn’t finished.”
“No issue, you can send it to me when it’s finished, and I’ll pay you now.”
“But I don’t know when she will come or will she ever come.”
” I know she will come. Don’t worry.”
After a pause, “I have one request to make a minor change in it.”
“What?” ”
“A bindi in red. Not on her forehead, but on her thigh. To the left. Slightly high up there.”
For readers, not familiar with Hindu culture, a red bindi is tiny sacred mark which traditionally Hindu married women wear on their foreheads.
Amol just stared. “A symbol at a strange place.”
“She’ll understand.” Amol gave a sly smile.
“Your madness, your canvas. I will do as you wish.”
The sounds of the slum faded into a far-off hum as Kunal emerged into Bandra’s flickering dusk. The truth he could no longer deny was echoed by his heartbeat. His wife, his mystery, his mirror, Anita, had been exposed on canvas–not as a victim, but as a woman who wanted to be seen.
————————
The Last Stroke
It was a calm Wednesday night when the phone rang.
Kunal was having his second cup of tea,.
A number saved without any name appeared on the screen.
The voice on the other line said,
“The painting is finished.”
No greeting and nothing else.
Kunal let out a slow breath. “And?”
Amol’s said ” She came and she gave pose. She remained silent. However, the silence tells something.”
⸻—–
Kunal went back to the Bandra studio that evening.
The same alley. The same smell of wet concrete and rust.
Standing under the same hanging lightbulb, Amol merely pointed to a canvas.
Kunal took a step ahead.
Anita was standing there. Or rather, the brave, naked, daring version of Anita was there. Her posture remained the same: arched spine, one arm across her ribs, the other behind her head, not protecting, but asserting.
However, something new was present. A red bindi was painted, small and purposeful, just above her left thigh.
Pointing towards that red bindi Amol mutely murmured, “Here. The left thigh.”
Amol had stopped, raising an eyebrow. “Usually, sacred symbols don’t go there.” Kunal had responded,
The reason of that red bindi only Kunal and Amita can understand.
It was an old recollection.
A joke that became sacred. Anita had mocked him one evening after a fight that ended in laughter–“You love every inch of me? Show it.”
Leaning forward, he had wiped a smear of sindoor and kissed the inside of her thighs”
“There,” he murmured. “You’re divine now.” Before she started crying, she had laughed. They had claimed that memory as their own, erotic, sacred, and personal.
After that they kept on using this during many of their love session.
——
When told about your strange request, she remained silent and then smiled, as if she knew who the buyer was”
Kunal took a deep breath. He felt his fingertips tingle. He started to walk away, but Amol stopped him. He said, “Oh–wait,” and pulled out a drawer. “This is what she left behind.”
He took out an unnamed, off-white, sealed packet. Not a mark
” This she said to handover the person who would purchase the painting,
Kunal didn’t say anything.
He spread it out.
⸻——
The Letter
You touched my body.
I wish you had touched my ache.
I did not betray you in any way.
The only parts that learned to murmur elsewhere were the ones you ignored.
You didn’t need to look at me.
You had to see me.
What about the bindi?
It never owned that place.
It belonged somewhere only you knew.
This was not rebellion.
It was a moment of recall of my identity.
And I still wanted to be with you
⸻
The letter had no name on it.
No apology.
No defense.
Just the truth.
Naked. Unashamed. Truth.
This wasn’t about forgiveness, Kunal knew at that very moment. or confession.
It was a matter of being seen.
Not the Anita who shared a home with him.
It is the woman who had discreetly fallen apart behind closed doors. And now she had opened the door for him for the first time.
Not in words. with hue, in silence.
⸻
He went out into the road. The rain had ceased. The city remained the same, and puddles glistened like mirrors, but he felt softer on the inside. To be heard, not everything had to be shouted.
Occasionally, the most impactful things were not told. Sometimes silence speaks everything.
——————
The bedroom was dark, save for a soft man amber lamp near the floor.
Only the sound of the ceiling fan disturbing the stillness.
Kunal stood at the doorway.
Anita sat on the bed, knees folded, her cotton saree draped carelessly–its pleats undone, blouse unhooked at the back, clinging only by habit. Her hair was unpinned, cascading over one shoulder. She looked at him–not startled, not guilty. Simply… present.
Her gaze didn’t seek forgiveness.
And he didn’t demand it.
He walked in slowly, and as he did, he noticed it: the red bindi.
Not on her forehead, but lower–painted delicately on her upper thigh, just above where her drape had slid. A quiet defiance. A private offering.
She knows I went to Amol, he realized.
She knows I saw the painting. All of them.
Yet she said nothing.
Kunal stopped in front of her. He didn’t speak either.
Instead, he reached out and touched her ankle–lightly, reverently–trailing his fingers upward. Her breath caught, but she didn’t move.
“You never hid from the canvas,” he said finally, voice low. “Just from me.”
Anita tilted her head. “You wanted control. But you never asked what I wanted when I said yes.”
“And what did you want?” he asked, unbuttoning his shirt slowly.
“To be seen without permission,” she whispered. “To be… looked at. Not just understood. Craved.”
Kunal knelt in front of her, pressing his lips to her inner thigh, just beside the bindi.
He remained there–kissing the bindi like a confession.
She didn’t need any apology but recognition.
⸻
They made love in silence first.
Not rushed. Not tender.
Deliberate.
She undressed him with slow hands, peeling each layer like she was revealing something back to herself. His skin against hers was warm, raw, textured by need and time and memory.
Anita leaned back on the pillows, her blouse falling open fully now. Her breasts, firm and bare, rose with every breath, the nipples already hard.
Kunal cupped them with both hands–thumbs circling, then pinching softly. She moaned, low and immediate, her hips arching.
“Still mine?” he asked.
Anita smiled faintly. “That was never the question.”
He slid his hand beneath her petticoat, feeling the damp heat between her legs. She wasn’t wearing anything underneath. Her wetness greeted him like truth.
“You were already aroused,” he murmured.
“I have been… for hours,” she replied. “But not for memory. Not for them. For now. For this.”
He pulled the fabric away. She was naked beneath the half-draped saree, one leg bent open. The red bindi remained–unmoving, almost ceremonial.
He kissed down her navel, between her thighs, tasting her.
She gripped his hair, gasping, whispering his name like it belonged to both of them again.
When he entered her, she cried out–not in pain, not in guilt, but in complete, surrendering hunger.
She wrapped her legs around his back and pulled him deeper.
⸻
Between thrusts, they spoke. Like old lovers. Like strangers.
“You painted what I never dared to say,” he whispered against her shoulder.
“You fantasized what I never dared to do,” she whispered back, biting his earlobe.
Their bodies moved in rhythm, sweat slicking their skin.
Her nails left trails on his back.
His lips claimed the hollow of her throat.
The headboard knocked softly against the wall.
He slowed, pressing his forehead to hers.
“I forgive you,” he said.
She held his face. “I didn’t ask for that.”
“I know.”
“But thank you.”
——————
They lay still for a long time afterward. She played with his fingers on the bedsheet.
Amol texted,” she murmured after a while. “Said someone wants to buy my painting.”
Kunal didn’t flinch. “Let him,” he said.
She hesitated. “It’s not that simple. He doesn’t want the same one. He wants a fresh piece. Same body. Same pose. Just… with a few changes.
Kunal turned to her, voice low.
“What changes does he want?”
Anita ran a finger slowly along his chest, thoughtful.
“He mentioned few small ones. Lighting, background, a different tilt of my hips…”
She paused. Her eyes met his.
“But the real one–the one that matters–is this time, he wants my eyes open.”
Kunal didn’t blink. His fingers stilled.
She waited for a question that never came.
Instead, he said, slowly:
“Will you do it?”
Anita studied him. “Do you want me to?”
“I don’t know,” he admitted.
“That’s the difference between you and him,” she said. “He already imagines what he wants. You try to imagine what I’ll choose.”
Kunal almost smiled–but didn’t. Instead, he reached down and touched her thigh, where the faint smudge of a red bindi still remained.
“If your eyes are open,” he murmured, “will they be looking for me?”
She didn’t answer.
Not directly.
She leaned in, lips brushing his jaw.
“Maybe you’ll be in the painting too. You just won’t recognize yourself.”
They lay like that for a while. Close, but oddly suspended. As if something else waited at the edge of the bed. Not threatening. Just… unwritten.
Then, just as he was drifting toward sleep, she spoke again–almost idly.
“You know,” she murmured, “you never asked me if there were other sketches I never showed you.”
Kunal’s eyes opened. Slowly.
“Are there?”
Anita smiled faintly.
“Sleep now,” she whispered, fingers tracing his chest “You’ve had enough truth for one night.”
Chapter 5: Return of Aditya
Anita couldn’t forget about Amol’s studio even after three years. The memories came back even while she was doing her chores: the way his brush moved over her body and the quiet room that was only broken by the sound of paint scraping. She still felt ashamed, but temptation never really goes away; it stays under the skin.
Kunal worked hard, and his silences were longer than his sentences. From the outside, their Andheri flat looked sturdy, but it was weak inside. Every time Amol sent Anita holiday greetings on WhatsApp, they made her feel uneasy because they reminded her of a world she had left but never forgotten.
Her phone rang one night. An invitation on WhatsApp:
“Kamana: An Exhibition of Desire – Jehangir Art Gallery.”
The name Amol gave her was Kamana, which means “desire” or “craving.” A muse, born from her quietness and hidden fire.
She couldn’t breathe. Gallery of Jehangir Art. The name alone had weight—prestige and history. An artist’s dream was to have a canvas hanging there. And now, even through Amol’s brush, her body and name.
She turned the screen toward her husband, and her eyes sparkled.
“Hey Kunal, Jehangir Art Gallery. Not a roadside display. To even hang there means to be recognized. It will be talked about in the news and remembered.”
As she moved, her pleats rustled because she was so excited. “I never thought I’d be in that space. It doesn’t feel real.”
But Kunal’s face got hard.
“So people you don’t know should be able to see your naked body hanging on a wall? Do you know what they’ll say? Things that are dirty. Dirty jokes. They will drink and talk softly.
“For a chosen admirer who knows about art, it won’t ,” he said, his voice tense. “But what about the general public? Not ever. Anita, I can’t stand that.”
Anita leaned against the arm of the sofa, wearing a loose cotton saree. She didn’t care.
“Not everyone is like that, Kunal. Many people who walk in will see art, not dirt.”
“Don’t lie to yourself,” he said sharply. “For every one who sees art, ten will only see flesh. They’ll picture you lying down for them.”
Her lips turned up in a teasing smile. “Then let them imagine. They will never know the truth. Amol said he changed my face so that it will be hard for anyone to recognize me. They call me Kamana. An inspiration. Not Anita, not a wife.”
Kunal stopped pacing and clenched his jaw. “How about the body? He didn’t change that.”
Her voice got softer and more playful. “Yes. He left it the way it was. My breasts, my hips, and even the scar on my thigh. Only someone who has really seen me naked would know me.” She leaned in closer, and her eyes sparkled. “Or the guy who has seen me in his dreams.”
The words hurt him like a thorn, but they also made him feel so good. He imagined men he didn’t know sweating through their sheets and then going to the gallery to whisper their hunger in front of her painting.
Anita smiled and tilted her head. “Even if they whisper, Kunal, it won’t be about your wife. It will be about Kamana. And I know you’ll like that.”
He frowned and opened his mouth to say something. But Anita leaned in even more, her voice soft and teasing.
“Don’t you want to see their faces? Acting like you love art when you really don’t? They will all circle around and whisper, they will feel excited because of the painting. But Kunal, you will know the sweetest truth: this woman who makes them hungry will ultimately leave with you.”
Her words wrapped around him like a snake, part sting and part invitation. His heart raced and his chest felt tight.
His body let him down, and the heat rose. His voice was hoarse after a long time of not speaking.
“Then I will be going g. I’ll see it for myself.”
The Exhibition
That night, the Jehangir Art Gallery glowed. The whitewashed walls were lit up by warm spotlights, and the polished floor echoed with soft footsteps and quiet voices. Waiters walked by with trays of wine, and the air smelled faintly of varnish, perfume, and excitement.
Big letters at the entrance said:
KAMANA: AN EXHIBITION OF DESIRE
Anita’s heart raced just thinking about the word. Amol had given the whole show the name of her other self. Kamana means desire or craving. Not just one of many muses, but the one who put the crown on the door. For the first time, she didn’t feel ashamed; instead, she felt strangely honored.
Kunal walked next to her with a stiff jaw and wet palms in his pockets. Anita’s face stayed calm and unreadable, but her eyes sparkled with a heat he couldn’t miss.
Then they went into the main hall.
One by one, the canvases rose around them, taking up their own space and each carrying a piece of her stripped bare.
One showed her mangalsutra, a sacred chain that looked like a forbidden ornament, slipping between her breasts. A man said in a low voice, “Holy, yet sinful.” Anita’s cheeks got hot.
Another showed her lying on a couch with her lips parted and her eyes half-closed. Two women stayed behind and whispered, “She looks like she’s waiting for someone to finish what the painter started.” Anita felt a slight thrill run down her spine.
But the most daring was Anita sitting naked in the lotus position. A faint scarf pooling at her thighs made her look calm but also interesting. Her nipples were painted with sacred dots of worship, not in a sexual way. The brushstrokes shone like they were still wet, and every curve looked alive, with flesh turning to flame.
A woman nearby whispered, almost in awe, “She looks like a goddess… but she’s so human.”
Anita’s lashes fell, and she held her breath. For a brief moment, she let the murmur wrap around her like silk. Every comment, whether respectful or rude, went right under her skin—forbidden and electric.
Kunal’s eyes turned to her. Her lips were slightly open, and her chest was rising and falling too quickly.
He leaned in closer, his breath harsh, and growled in her ear.
“You like this, right? Their looking. Their whispering.”
Anita didn’t answer right away. She kept her eyes on the canvas and had a small smile on her lips. Then she whispered back, soft as silk:
“Maybe I don’t like them. I might only like knowing that you’re watching them watch me.”
The words cut through him, not as a defense but as a provocation. His heart raced and his rage and heat mixed together. He wanted to deny it and pull her away. But his body gave him away; it shook at how bold she was.
Anita finally looked at him, her eyes calm but sparkling, as if she had known this moment would come.

Return of Her Student
The gallery’s crowd was getting smaller, and the voices around the glowing paintings turned into a hum. Kunal looked around the hall, then stopped.
Anita was a few steps ahead, talking with a younger man. His stance was too close, and his wine glass was leaning to the side. Kunal’s heart raced when he saw her smile, which was faint but familiar.
He walked forward with his jaw set. Anita turned, and the pleats fell from her hands.
“Kunal,” she said softly, “this is Aditya, a student of mine.”
The name came out sharper than he wanted it to. Anita became tense.
Aditya bowed his head, which was both polite and rude. “Sir, it’s an honor to finally meet you.”
Kunal’s eyes got smaller. “You.”
Aditya’s smile got bigger. “Yes. Are you surprised? I didn’t think she would be here. But as soon as I saw that canvas, I knew. People who don’t know her might call her Kamana. But I know this is my Anita, ma’am.”
Kunal’s hands curled up. “You said you would. No drawings. Not in touch.”
Aditya said smoothly, “And I kept that promise. Never talked, never followed. But I never said I would forget.”
Be quiet. Anita’s lips moved, but she didn’t say anything.
Aditya leaned in and spoke in a low, deliberate voice. “The artist got her just right. Even the way her breasts lean to the left. Only someone who sat in the third row every day would know. Do you remember, ma’am? Chalk in hand, pleats slipping… and the class holding its breath.”
Anita’s breath caught. Kunal saw that her chest rose too quickly. She felt humiliated, but there was a tremor she couldn’t hide.
“Enough,” Kunal said sharply. But even as he said it, he could still see his wife bending over the blackboard with the boys’ eyes on her. Dirty. Not wanted. And yet it stuck, bright.
Aditya swirled his glass and smiled a little. “Isn’t it funny? When I drew her curves, you said it was obscene and even threatened me. Amol now paints the same body, hangs it in the Jehangir Art Gallery, and all of a sudden it’s art. And you, her husband, stand here proudly, letting the world look. Don’t you think it’s a strange turn of events?”
“Some men marry goddesses and keep them in temples. Some people put them on pedestals and let the world bow down to them. Sir, which one are you tonight?”
Kunal’s throat closed up. Anger rose, but something darker did too. His chest hurt, and he was torn between anger and a heat he didn’t want to name.
Aditya leaned in closer, his voice sharp as a knife.
“Hey, sir. Every guy here is taking off her clothes and having sex with her in his mind. And you still stand there, watching. Almost proud. Tell me, don’t you love that your wife is the one who fuels their filth?”
Kunal’s heart raced. He wanted to deny it, but his body betrayed him by shaking with the unbearable truth that was woven into the insult.
Anita pressed her lips together, and the pleats made a soft sound. She could feel the storm inside him, with anger and desire mixed together. She stepped sharply between them, her saree brushing his arm, just before he could blow up.
“That’s enough, Aditya.” Her voice was low and sharp.
For a moment, Aditya’s smirk faded. He bowed in a way that seemed respectful. “I’m sorry, ma’am. When memories burn too bright, words slip.”
Anita’s gaze held his. “Then let the memories burn by themselves.”
Her words were sharp, but she looked at him for a second too long. Not wanting. Not denial. Something else. And Kunal saw it.
And that made him more upset than Aditya’s rudeness ever could.

The Ride Home
The drive back was too much. Streetlights flashed across the windshield, cutting Anita’s face into gold and shadow. Kunal’s knuckles turned white on the wheel, and his jaw was tight. He hadn’t said anything since they left the gallery.
Anita sat with her pleats neatly folded in her lap, as if being still could calm the storm between them. She lightly touched his arm every time he spoke. “Not here. Not right now.” Her calmness only made him angrier.
The silence broke by the time they got home. Kunal slammed the door shut, and his voice was hoarse.
“How could he? The way he looked at you and the things he said—Anita, there’s something going on between you two. Isn’t there?”
She turned slowly, her eyes steady and her lips slightly curved.
“Do you want to know the truth, Kunal? Or something that is sweet for your pride?”
He stared at her and breathed heavily, but said nothing.
Anita took a breath. “Aditya promised you that he would never talk to me again after that day. And he kept the promise. Not during class or after. But silence doesn’t make sketches go away. They lingered. Every line. Every curve. He drew me as if he had seen me naked, with the mole under my breast and the scar on my thigh. His pencil took off my clothes, but he never touched me. And yes, I burned for it.”
Kunal staggered, his throat working. “And that made you disgusted?”
Her voice got lower and huskier. “I thought it would. But it made me aroused instead. Those sketches made me wet, ashamed, and shaking, but I wanted the sting again.”
He saw it in her words: not just shame, but truth.
Then Anita’s voice changed; it was low and shaky. “One afternoon, my colleague Suruchi came over and giggled. One anonymous admirer, someone among her students, was sending her dirty drawings. And as soon as I saw them, I knew—Aditya.
She thought those were for her. They weren’t. They were mine, hidden in her body. And Aditya cleverly took this route to send his dirty drawings to me.”
Anita’s eyes fluttered shut, and her chest rose quickly.
“Kunal, I had no doubts at all. The slight scar on my thigh, the mole beneath my breast, and the way my pallu slipped when I leaned forward. Aditya noticed all of the flaws that no one else would even notice. Meticulous. Brutal. I knew those sketches were of me, even though Suruchi thought they were hers.
Her voice trailed off, now husky. Then, as she gazed at them, Suruchi told me what her husband had said. ‘So this is what you do in class?’ he asked, laughing as he looked at one. ‘Displaying your nipples to boys in order to make fun of them.’”
Even though Anita’s lips quivered, she continued. “Then he sneered, ‘Spread like that?’ as he glanced at another, the one with the teacher on the desk, legs spread wide. ‘You appear ready to take the entire class one by one.’”
Kunal’s expression grew gloomy. “How could he say that about her own wife?”
Anita’s lips turned slightly. “Odd. You sound just like him now. But weren’t you the same when we first got Aditya’s sketches years ago?”
His head turned. “Don’t put me next to him.”
Anita’s eyes, on the other hand, sparkled. “Why not? I remember the drawing of the teacher that was on the desk. You were so angry that you shook. You ripped my saree and threw me on the dining table, making me lie down just like the picture. You made me live the dirt you said you hated.”
Kunal’s jaw got tight. “That was different. I was mad—”
“Mad?” Anita interrupted. “Then why did you take me harder than ever that night? What made fury turn into hunger?”
He hesitated. “I wanted to get you back. To get rid of the sketches.”
Her smile became cruel. “Get rid of them? No. You used them. You made them real. The only thing that makes you different from that man is—you had me to act on.”
Kunal’s breath became ragged as shame and desire choked him.
Anita moved closer and spoke sharply. “You say you want the truth? Then listen to it. From what Suruchi’s drawings conveyed—how badly Aditya wanted to see me naked. And yes, that information made me wet. But I never gave in; I controlled my actions. But how could I control my feelings, which were making me wet?”
The words hit him like blows. Betrayal burned his mind, but his body betrayed him by burning with the very image she made. Anger and excitement twisted together in his chest until he could hardly breathe.
Anita saw it. Her eyes sparkled. “Look, Kunal? You don’t deny it. You’re on fire, but not just with anger. I can see in your eyes what you are thinking right now, the same fire that shamed me. The only difference is that I admit this fire and face it. You deny and call it anger.”
Kunal’s chest rose and fell, but he didn’t say anything. His face was hard to read because it was covered by a mask of anger, shame, and desire.
Then he slowly turned away. His footsteps got quieter as they moved down the hall.
“…Kunal?” Anita’s whisper shook the empty room.
No response. She heard only the sound of a door closing, leaving her alone with her confession in the dark.
⸻
Back To Class
The next morning was quieter than anger. Anita walked quietly through the house, her heart heavy. Kunal didn’t say much, and his eyes were hard to read. Their weight followed her with every step.
By night, all he said was, “Come.” The drive was long and quiet until they stopped in front of her old school.
“Kunal, why are we here?” she said softly.
No response. He took her inside, through hallways that smelled like chalk and varnish and echoed, to a door to a classroom she knew. He forced it open.
Anita stopped moving.
Aditya sat at the teacher’s desk with a sketchbook on his lap. His eyes slowly and steadily rose, as if he had been waiting.
Her chest got tight. “No… Kunal, this is crazy!”
Kunal’s voice was low and sharp.
“You admitted that his drawings made you wet. He’ll see for himself tonight if this is true.”
Her face hurt. “Please… I can’t—”
He cut in and said, “You called me a coward. Then let me be brave enough to give you up. This used to be your temple. Tonight, it’s your stage.”
Chalk dust stuck to her skin, heavy and close.
Anita shook. “Kunal, don’t—”
He said, “I won’t make you. But I won’t protect you either. Amol painted you by taking off your bra and panties. Aditya drew a picture of you without ever seeing your naked body. He’ll find out tonight how close his imagination was to the truth of your body.”
Aditya’s lips turned slightly. His voice was soft.
“You don’t have to wonder, sir. Her nipples are already responding.”
He looked at her blouse, her waist, and the pleats that were shaking in her fist. He tapped his pencil, impatient.
He said softly, “When I drew Suruchi, it wasn’t her I saw. Anita, it was you—your hard nipples are still in my mind.”
Her knees were pressed together, and the heat gave her away. She felt shame on her cheeks, but a thrill was building in her stomach.
Kunal’s jaw got tight. “I promised I won’t ask you what happened in these three between these walls. When I get back, I’ll be able to tell by looking in your eyes whether you stayed my wife or became his muse.”
He leaned in for the last blow. “You said my permission made you want to do it. Here it is, then. Permission. Use it.”
The door slammed shut with a loud thud.
Aditya stood up and slid a hand under her pleats. Her breath caught, and her body let her down. His fingers shone in the dim light when he pulled back.
Anita’s smile turned sharp. “Kunal never asked how you drew me so well, with the mole and the scar. He thought you drew so perfectly with your imagination only.”
Aditya laughed in a low, cruel way. He opened up his sketchbook and turned to a page that was already worn out. It showed Kunal tied up and gagged, with his manhood small and shamed under Anita. He held it up like a mirror and ran his shiny finger across the page, making a wet streak.
Aditya made fun of him by saying, “He thought he was giving you up tonight. But really, Anita, he just walked into the place I drew for him years
